I would love to see that too..

But thats another question that is never answered..

Who were the first GSD/Mal/SIbe used??
What were their hip scores etc?[/QUOTE]
one thing the northern inuit society is working on is a booklet on the breed,in it is some photos of some of the original northern inuit dogs,as for hip scores the original northern inuits where not scored, but going back fifteen years or so,when we asked to have some scored the bva hip scoring scheem would not entertain us with out a kc registration.

Pink dogs aside ...

I think it's really sad that there are so many splits but I think it comes about because you get a few people - perhaps at commitee level - who don't think the breed is going in the right direction or that something isn't right so they feel strongly enough to break away.

I do think that a person can love their breed without necessarily loving the group(s)/club(s)/society(societies) too. They are two separate things.

erm, actually when I did a poll on whether they should be allowed to be shown (on a poodle forum) 80% said that they should! So I don't think it is only a few and there are a considerable amount of parti's entering the UK in the next few years, some going to some very well known kennels.
I've had poodles since early 2001, my first being a brown and cream tan point!

    So 7yrs.

The Poodle forum, would that be the standard one? with one reply and 21 votes out of 237 members? and locked? I did read all the other "parti" threads, but they were all locked! reading that forum and others, the consencus of opinion is they adhere to the breed standard, not breed wrong colours, because they can!

I am talking about the pure bred dogs that were used to make them..
Who were they?? what were their KC names.. and I meant the GSD/MAL/SIBE hip scores NOT the NI that was made from them...

See i have never seen the parti coloured poodles, my sister has only ever had poodles but the solid colours.
She currently has a black mini and a brown toy.
All the breeders she contacted only had the solids and never spoke about the parti cause i am sure she could have been tempted if she knew of them.

All the posts on the old poodle forum have been locked as they have a new site. It may have only been 21 votes but the majority were in favour of them being shown regardless. The reason there was only one reply is because of the venom with which some people spit when talking about partis that a huge number of people don't want it to be known they actually like the parti's at this time. The Parti Poodle Club has several poodle judges as members.
I really don't understand people, you either love poodles or you don't colour should be immaterial, if we were talking about people it would be racism the way some people talk about them.
There are some very nasty people in the poodle world.

I have a waiting list of some 15 people wanting black and tans! When Cooper went to ringcraft and training classes last week everyone without fail thought he was stunning. Personally I think the problem isn't so much that they are against the standard but that they will become more popular than solids, but I love my solids too so I really don't see the problem.

Colour of the coat doesn't make the dog.
Her little black girl, ruby is a terror, i have never known such a hyper dog, but she is still a pup, totally different to the other 2 black she has in the past.

So let me get this straight, is it ONLY the UKC that allow wrong coloured poodles? Everywhere else in the world they are not allowed? and the UKC do NOT recognise 3 sizes of poodles but everywhere else in the world do? the American KC disqualify them and others?

The AKC accept them for registration but they have disqualifying faults in their standard which means they can't be shown, they also have disqualifying faults to prevent undocked dogs of traditionally docked dogs being shown too
Parti colours are accepted and shown in Germany and other countries as Harlekins and the phantoms Black and Tans. Cooper has a VDH/FCI registration pedigree thing (my German is useless lol!)
The AKC register poodles as poodles they do not split between sizes, not sure how the UKC register them size wise but still believe it is 3 sizes but FCI is 4 sizes so any FCI country it's 4, everywhere else is 3.
