My OH is not a fan of poodles either, though I think their 'poncy' image is unjust and treated like proper dogs rather than fashion accessories, I bet they are superb dogs.

I'm a 'rescue addict' too

I know this will sound odd but it's not the poncy image that is the problem he just isn'tkeen on long muzzled dogs or for that matter very short ones either.
