why isnt there a proper pedigree on the page the pup sounds like it will be half WL, 1/4 WGL and then asoka breeding, but it is hard to make it with all the extra writing on the pages
re plush coats they win all the time does she mean it is a semi-coated dog?

I have an appt to go and see the breeder next weekend. I am also waiting to see if OH is going to be made redundant. If he has to get a job that is not home based then I can't get a pup right now. We were supposed to find out last Thursday but IBM can't even meet their own deadlines for dropping bombshells on their staff. :-(

Plush coats are quite prized on the continent in Malinois. I have seen several.

It all depends on OH's job. If he isn't going to be at home during the day I can't take on a pup right now. I've told the breeder so she doesn't turn anyone away thinking I'm a definite. I'm just waiting for IBM to pull their finger out, then we'll know one way or the other.

We still haven't got a definite answer about hubby's job, more of a "probably not but we'll let you know in a week or so", so we went to see the breeder (who has been kept fully informed) yesterday.

Firstly we were introduced the paternal grandmother, dad and his sister and some other dogs. They were curious but not in the slightest bit aggressive, dad was really friendly.

Then she brought out mum and the pups who had been in a pen in the house. The pups who are 5 weeks old, all had a wee on the grass as soon as they came outside and 2 of them had a poo. They were all confident pups and happy to be handled. The breeder has done a fabulous job of socialising them. When she called them they all stopped playing and ran to her! I have decided that IBM willing I will go for one of the black and tan girls with pink bows.

Awww such cute pups When will you know for sure whether one of the little girls is yours? What an agonising wait that will be.

It sounds as though the breeder has done a great job with the pups

I was amazed at how confident and responsive the pups were. She has put hours of work into them.

I hope that we will know about Nic's job by the end of this week....

Will there be a pup? (Fingers crossed you have heard from IBM by now!)

We are still waiting. I emailed the breeder last Friday to say she should let the pups go if she's got another buyer.

The world is not short of very good GSD breeders, so another one will come along.
