Not really sorry! Its just BC colouring

    sealight Tri

    http://www.bordercollies.nl/eklsadl.shtml

These pupsstart off looking like normal tris , there tri develops & gets lighter (& more) as they age!

Most tri collies have this lighter hairs mixed into their black bits because they are long coated you just dont see it in a piccy , unless you go through their coat

Zo is a light tri & her legs are getting higher & higher with the tri as she gets older!!!!, she has tri hairs spotted around too!

I've not seen a collie like that either, but I haven't really seen a lot of them round here tbh, they are gorgeous though.

ETA, I'm also trying to look at the genetics lol, its even more confusing on their table then what I know about the tan point gene lol, for that bit of a table it shows two matching tan points, and then that denouces the Black, Diluted and Extension (never heard of this), then it goes onto say that there is no merle, but there is also double something called Irish spotted or Collie marked.

Is the 'Irish spotted or Collie marked' just the traditional collie markings? As from what I know tan point/tri colour only carries tan point or Tri colour for the coat colour. So (hope I get the name's right here ) your Zola would carry only the tri colour gene for coat colours, and that Mav? Would have to be carrying the gene for a tan point/tri colour, and her mother would be either a tan point or tri colour, or also a carrier. As if I remember right Mav is a black and white traditionally marked BC? Did you know that he was a carrier of tri colour, or was that found out after the mating took place? Mind you if someone knows their dogs lines they would know what they could be carrying that way, but then that could of just been a chance that he was.

God I'm confusing myself with all of this know .

I'm rubbish at this game and can never see gsd or collie or EBT, he looks like a bit like my sister's dog who is a staffy x.

I remember coming across the Appenzeller Sennenhund and thinking it resembled Jake- even the tail
