sorry to sound thick but what are bull breeds ?

bulldohs
english bull terriers
staffordshire bull terriers
pit bull terriers etc etc

any dog with bull in the name basically

`molosser` covers a whole spectrum of breeds , if it`s derived from ancient `moloss` stock regardless of type and use it`s a molosser , even toy breeds can fall into `molosser` categories.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but to start a thread just to be rude is very out of order!

Oh and how come you list Staffy, lab, spaniel, mastiff as dogs you own, 2 of which are bull breeds but only talk about 2 schnauzers????:?

I had seen the OP post a seemingly helpful thread re a stray staffy, whereby she said she has a worry of staffies, but she knew that wasnt right, but she couldnt help how she felt.

So I figured this thread as just an attempt to understand the appeal of staffy types so as to help her deal with her own issue.

The latter post shows that to be not the case at all.

Still not going to let such a silly person turn me into a cynic though, as their is still nothing wrong with the posting of such questions, as its just as much a possibility that a person could be asking for genuine reasons, such as the one I just gave, as much as they could be asking as a wind up.

Well said Kruzewalker. I picked up this thread because I was once not a fan of bullies - then I got to know some.Talk about a 180 degree turn around!Can't imagine life without my 2 SBT xs now. And most recently, the incomparable Daisy - a white boxer.And boxers were top of my least favourite breeds list!
There's nothing like the sense of humour these dogs have.
Question for the boxer experts - is it true they were once a fighting dog? I read that somewhere..Also that they were used for bull baiting? Ghastly occupations for such a charming breed if true.

Some people need to find hobbies or something to do with there time..Sad freaks!!

i love boxers too, i kind of find staffy's a bit ubiqutous and uninspiring, just like labs really.
but i guess my thoughts are more geared toward those types of people that buy either as everyone else in their area has one?

and im more of a shepherdy, akita, collie type of guy anyway.

i used to have a real problem getting my head around greyhounds until recently, now i suddenly appreciate they have personality and cuteness.

now KW I thought I liked you, now I am not so sure LOL LOL

Staffies are clowns as are most bullies I have found.

You cant beat a dog that thinks its a human baby, all 4 stone of it climbing on to your lap to get as close as possible.
