They are thick mud this lunchtime as just had them out and they have been rolling in it having a whale of a time!!! Crossing a Ute with a Retriever would mean you would get a dog that destroyed things and then brought the remains over for you to see
Well they have both just destroyed a glove my own silly fault I left them lying aroungd and they do have lots of delicious doggie smells on them(they are my toasty dog walking ones), so they played tug of war, and my glove lost. They didn't bring it back though just buried in one of the dog beds. Please think of me later when out with my loonies on this cold blustery day wearing one toasty glove and one very soggy holey not-so - toasty glove
I only have to leave the back door open and a shape comes hurtling out carrying a slipper trying to bury it in the shavings for later before I see it Have you tried nailing stuff to the ceiling maybe:twisted: ?
The bottom one was his Christening outfit - he insisted on wearing it all day, even on his walk beforehand . The top one was his 'hanging out' coat!
Just hope the Norty Girlies don't find out he has a 'hanging out ' coat, or they will want one each They are already mad jealous of Loki's extensive wardrobe and are keen followers of his sartorial trends
He is certainly a trend setter, he always looks impeccable never a smudge of dirt on any of his many coats
Nah, thats not dirty, my two were minging this morning I do think you may of teflon coated him, bloomin' good idea though. He is gorgeous, and I do love his many coats. Is he doing okay now
Yes, thank you; he's back strutting his cocky little butt around the streets and pulling like a train .
I just re-read this! Why do people keep saying that? :-( Yes, I think he has changed; he's growing up!
Scary isn't it I have strong views on dog breeding, so for someone to ask me if I was going to have a litter off them just because they are both good looking dogs(Well I think so;-) )is one way to make me crazy.:smt021 I am really pleased to hear Loki is strutting his stuff again, he had us all worried for awhile.Big hugs to Loki.
Thank you; he had me worried too. :-( I can't believe how close things were and I'm terrified for the next time he has fits. The vet has told us we shouldn't "wait" but I'm not sure how many fits he is supposed to have before she thinks we should bring him straight down. I'm going to post this in health, I think.
:smt039 Hello all Tis me with Madam Maia or to give her her full title Sulin Maia (aka The Mnkey, Madam, Stubborn mare ) Maia at the moment refuses point blank to go out after dark, I am sure she thinks the big loud nasty fireworks are still out to get her! Any ideas on how to get her back out in the dark gratefully appreciated:smt002 . At the moment she will at least get in the car, but she sits and waits while I take Jack out into the fields, ooo she is a mare!! Here is a luffley piccie of my sweet girlie, snuggled up in front of the fire which is her fave place at the moment.
Hello Natalie:smt039 This is going to sound really weird but I have the same problems with Meg, so this year I decided to be proactive, and bought some books On TTouch, as it helps calm dogs down, find their balance etc, it has been a revelation. This year with the fireworks soo much calmer,by doing the touches, and it was recommended to try putting a tight-ish t-shirt on the dog,at night or when they felt nervous. So, as soon as it gets dark Meg has a T_shirt on and she will go in and out no problems. The t-shirt makes them feel more secure. Now I though what cr@p, but it really works, and a friend has tried it on her dog who is nervous this time of year and it has helped her too.Meg still thinks the fireworks are out there too, I will try taking the T-shirt of next week. Try it may work for Maia. Meg is wearing a pink one at the moment
Now that's a good idea, do you just put it on them before you go out or do you have to get them used to wearing it around the house? You are always welcome for a visit:smt002
I put it on just before it gets dark, because that is when she starts to worry. She'll then keep it on till the next morning. Once she realises that the fireworks have finished and is more herself I stop using it. It has worked for her. I also tried Rescue remedy this year, when the fireworks were really bad. The book by Sarah Fisher Unlock Your Dogs Potential is brilliant, she goes through different scenarios and what TTouches can work. I hope it helps.
Hello Natalie. Maia looks very cosy there - and next to a nice cosy pair of pink slippers to keep her tootsies warm . Will she go out in the garden? What does she do when she sees the Jack off out?
