There are breeds around today that aren't mixed breeds.

Why would someone want to put these breeds together, what was to be gained by it?

Why not? Personally im not bothered as long the pups are treated the same as a pedigree breeding and in fairness you would only get that from a pedigree breeder a good breeder would not be interested in money.

And many are responsible but old school pedigree breeders will all ways naturally put the purpuse cross breds breeders down because they don't think their as good as pedigree. But if people demand doodles then their will be responsible breeders who will want to breed them.

At the end of the day its no ones choice but the breeders to breed these types of dogs and its up to the buyer weather they choose them or not. As long as their are people out their who demand interesting cross's then their will be responsible breeders willing to cross them.

you say their is a demand for doodles ,but is there? , its not about putting anyone down IMO. i've never owned either breed so no axe to grind, There's a "breeder" of these crosses local to me advertising 4 litters of this type of cross if there was a demand why the need to advertise?

What utter rubbish!

IMO---having owned and trained several different breeds springers (and staffies) are easily THE most intelligent. Poodles not far behind.

Most spaniels are more intelligent than their owners which is why the owners think they are NOT intelligent!
