    Thanks Dawn.

I may be way off the mark here but it appears that these dogs are bred from (even at a very young age:cry: ), have a litter or two and then are sold on, asap:?:

Starr is still just a baby, its so sad they are "used" and sold on, poor things.

Shaun Ellis, well what can you say, an expert on what? Getting rid of 3 dogs for a start!

I dont think I have ever known so many dogs go back to a breeder of just 3yrs or so.

I didn't even know who the bloke was until there was a thread on here quite a number of years ago about him turning up at an NI rally and being given a dog. That put him (and those that just handed him a dog) in low regard as who would turn up at a rally then just go away with a dog with no checks as to suitability?

    Hi Becky

He was one of those people who shot to semi stardom quickly, ref his involvement with 'Living with Wolves'. I think people assumed he was a decent guy because of his involvement with the wolves and the work he has done helping wolves in other countries. I only know him from what I have seen on TV and read on various forums (how much is true I do not know, though I think there is a statement of his plugging CR's dogs?)

Shame he has let his supporters down like this but the greatest shame is for the dogs. However, as I have said if his intentions were to cross breed and experiment the dogs with wolves then perhaps it is a blessing the dogs are being rehomed.....

What or who is CR as there have been several references but I can't work out what the initials mean!

Becky :) I think people are referring to a person who was breeding NI and NI crosses with a partner who owned a separate kennel. He advertised the dogs and puppies widely on free internet sites and had a site of his own where he claimed you could 'adopt' rather than buy a dog, it could be delivered to your home, and you could pay the large sum he was charging in instalments.

A couple of ex NI people became very 'taken' with him and he actually joined Dogsey at one stage (a user of foul language so he didn't stay long ) .

I understand this person was intending to start some kind of business with Shaun .

If Shaun is indeed selling the dogs he appeared on TV with I think that is dreadful and very irresponsible behaviour . To publicise these dogs on TV (which may have encouraged some people to be interested in them when they would not otherwise have been), then to get rid of the dogs really does send out the wrong message to people about dog ownership  .

I wonder if the CW website will be updated in relation to Shaun Ellis and the fact he no longer has the pups he got from them.........

Hmm I wonder indeed...although I doubt it will show him in anything but a favourable light, since there is now a section on CW where Shaun is the "online canine behaviourist" and he can be asked questions there. I wonder if anyone will ask him about HIS behaviour and what the hell he's playing at just getting rid of dogs like that. Disgraceful man

Have you actually ever met him Jem ?

Has anybody on this thread ?

I for one prefer to judge people AFTER I have met them. And AFTER I have found out the facts, not just read them on a website :002:

FACT he took on two pups on the understanding he would give those pups a life long home

FACT suddenly after 12 months and the fall through of a so called business plan {that may or may not have ever happend} he can no longer keep them

FACT its not the first dog hes got rid of.

I know this Shona. I will not condemn anyone though without a fair hearing ... mitigating circumstances and all that.

I don't like the witch hunts that frequently occur on Dogsey.

    Really :-o that's rather a sweeping statement.
I haven't met Peter Sutcliffe (known as the Yorkshire Ripper) and although we have never met I don't think I am judging him unfairly when I say IMO he is not ideal husband material ..

Gnasher :) I too believe in fair hearings but when a person chooses to step into the spotlight and appears in television programmes including one where he has two 'unusual dogs' with him promoting himself and his dogs, then weeks later he is seen to be getting rid of some if not all of his dogs, what message does this send to people about dog ownership ?
