what I meant was that the confrontation isn't compulsory, and IN MY OPINION, most of the NI threads on dogsey that end up locked or nasty are when non NI dog owners join in on the NI threads just to have a go at NI dogs and owners.

If you join the Inuit Dog Association forum, the Northern Inuit Society forum, or the Utonagon Society forum, you will find people will give you loads of information about their dogs.

Northern Inuit dogs make wonderful family pets, but are more suited to owners that have experience of large breed dogs. Thats all I meant about it being a strange choice for a first dog.

Just wait until your kids are doing talks and projects on them and begging that you pick them up WITH the dogs in tow.. LOL

Really :) maybe that is because you don't like to air your dirty linen in your own back yard and prefer to use that belonging to others .

The good thing is we accept all the different factions here and try to accommodate them..:)

I do think it is abit unfair that us NI owners are always blamed for threads ending in arguments.

In my opinion the majority of threads that do turn nasty are started by new members claiming to know nothing about the breed. They are generally directed to the Northern Inuit Society for full information and advice on the breed. (I have never seen these people join the NIS forum as new members). It then usually turns out that they do know more about the breed than than they first say and have come here with the sole intention of instigating trouble and arguments.

I don't know anything about this, and it was not my intention to instigate trouble or an argument. I haven't join the NIS forum because of the bad impression I got from here, maybe thats way the other people didn't join.

Louise13, Jane has already said that I have to pick her up from school as soon as our pup is aloud to go out for walks lol

The thing is.. when people ask about other breeds they are told... NI just quote NI society and NI forum.. keeping it behind closed doors..

    Fabulous post Mini

I for one am more than happy to give my personal views and experience of northern inuits, as are many other people.

The northern inuit society forum is not hiding anything behind closed doors. Anyone can go and look and questions are answered.
