Never come across that one before - it's lovely.

I think the ones we remember from school are always extra special. My favourite carol, which is rarely heard, was one we sang at Secondary School - The Three Kings (Cornelius) -NOT We Three Things From Orient Are! And I love to hear children singing what we used to sing at Primary School - Away in a Manger and The Rocking Carol.
And every time I hear O Come All Ye Faithful I feel I should be rummaging in my purse for money, because that was always the final hymn at the end of term Church Service when the collection plate was handed around. And the naughty girls didn't put any money in but I was a good girl and didn't spend the money on sweets instead.

That's the one! Fantastic - they sing it nearly as well as we did!

    Thank you for that.

Ta eva so Malka ..... you're a twinkly star!

I had to laugh just now 'cos I found a new way of getting the Princess in at night! She always kicks up a fuss when she hears videos on the computer 'cos according to her music or voices should only come from humans or the TV????? She came rushing into the house in a great flap so I quickly nipped past her and closed the front door. She's now moaning her head off 'cos I won't let her out again but that's toughies .... who does she think the boss is?

Ah, but we believe in delegation. And you are the lucky person who has been delegated to do it.

You do of course realise that until Effie built my first computer [which I killed eight months later] I had never even seen one? I even had to ask him how to switch the thing on!

OK, so I had been told by a then but now very ex-friend to get him to put Mozilla Thunderbird on for emails and Mozilla Firefox for my browser. But I did not know what I was supposed to do with either of them and it took me two weeks before I even dared send an email.

I literally did not have a clue what a computer could do - I think I know a bit more now but by trial and error - Effie just connected the thing and left me to play around with it! Typical man!

He says it was in 2004 but I say it was March 2005 and I think I am now on computer number six. I only killed the first one though as it was a monster wot sat on de floor and I caught it as I reversed on The Rucker [the predecessor to Xanadu]. The side fell off, the front fell off, and the on switch flew across the room. However, a few metres of sellotape kept it going while he built me a smaller one which sat on the shelf next to my table.

I do kill rather a lot of keyboards though...

...and I can post YouTube videos!

Here's one from gospel singer Edwin Star

Just gives you chills, beautiful song

One of my more humorous choices but really...Elton John-"HoHoHo(Who'd Be a Turkey at Christmas). Basically they're having a bit too much merriment on Christmas Eve and Santa is stuck in the chimney.

Don't feel bad about not being techy, if I didn't have kids I wouldn't know how to turn on the television.

Malka, since you seem to be the magic wizard at finding video. Something I'd like to see is a portion of "The King Family Christmas". If you grew up in America in the 1960's The King Family was this groovy bunch of people who had a special every year. My parents had the record too. Looking back they were cheesy but still bring back such memories.

Bye the bye I got the wrong Edwin on my last post-Edwin Starr sang "War" (HUNH WHAT IT IS, GOOD GOD YA'LL), Edwin Hawkins sang "Oh Happy Day"

That reminds me. When we had the boat we cruised past a castle at Polesworth (Staffs/Leics border) which had life sized cut-out guardsmen standing as sentries at the doors. I asked a local person who it was that owned the castle, and was told that it was Edwin Starr's home. Apparently he fell in love with Olde England when he was touring here, and wanted his own piece of history. He died a few years ago, so I don't know who has it now.

Is this repeated lapse into reminiscence a sign of a wandering mind? Eeeek!
