At The Devon County Show- where he met another Dalmatian called Maisy ! Kisses from Sebastian and hugs from me Clarita
He is one gorgeous boy Just out of interest did he have his hearing BAER tested? The only reason I ask is that Ive been interested in Dallies for a very long time (one day I will have one ) and one of the things that have come up in my research is that Dals with one or two blue eyes can have either complete deafness or in the case of one blue eye, hearing loss on that side. Im a hearing aid wearer so I have an interest in hearing loss thats all
Hello Janice Many thanks for your kind words. Sebastian sends kisses to You. He has not been BAER tested yet he has perfect hearing( hubby reckons it is perfect in both ears, too). The breeder did not have the puppies BAER tested yet their two dogs that they breed from have perfect hearing. Deafness is one of the conditions Dals are prone too. On the whole they are a very healthy breed of dog. Have always wanted to learn to sign language- it fascinates me whenever see it!! Have made friends whilst on holiday with a deaf girl who communicated through an electronic type writer device. She lip read what said to her yet could not talk back so wrote what she wanted to say on this- read it from the screen. Do have a Dallie- they are amazing dogs!!!! Our Sebastian is very intelligent. He is a helper dog to me in one way as have Fibromyalgia- he helps me up the hills/any inclines( just say the word pull- he does with great gusto)! He is very gentle/extra affectionate to anyone with a disability too. Am very proud of him. JaniceH- we send you hugs from Devon. Warmest wishes, Clarita and Sebastian
Sebastian the Wonder Dog having a good run on Dartmoor( it was in an area well away from any ponies or sheep, too)! Warm wishes, Clarita
