I think she is a belting looking dog Weight Watcher, its a shame that people often mistake all the hard work & effort that goes into getting a dog into such a shape for neglect & simply starvnig the dog "fit", you live & learn though, some cracking pictures posted and nice to see it ending ( :?: ) on a positive note...and on that note I will leave it there too.

why when some1 ask about staffords we always have to fall out.

right some ppl like that taller dogs and some like the shorter dogs.

i have both and love them both for diffrent things why cant we just leave it at that. the pic of the fit dogs shown on here are good but not every 1 will like a look of a dog like that. and yes i think that some are over done.
these days there is no need to have a dog look like that. and if you say for show then you have no right to have a go at the show (KCreg) ppl than do u

I suppose this one is aimed at the member's who show their staffs....we'v had some good examples of the taller dogs ..and we'v heard variuos opinions being voiced....i would like to turn the tables a wee bit as ask for opinions on this dog...and this is not an invitation to start a war.....only a debate....thanx :)

personally i like his build, i think he has a cracking head, lovely ears, nice feet, i am not a brindle lover so colour is not for me, nice back end (from what the picture shows)
I have actually seen him in the flesh and think he looks much nicer in the flesh :D BUT his son is nicer than he is

Can I ask why you want to know what show people think? :D

the reason I ask is that the majority of us arent the *judges* and there is a lot of variance with regards to looks in the ring also

Plus places are also awarded to how the dog is *handled* and presented- not purely on looks at times :D

I don't think anyone can slate Valglo Casonova at Crossguns, he's a good all round dog that meets all the breed standards. The number of CC's his won says it all. He's a cracking dog and I agree with Emma he is better in the flesh.

I dont like the dog if you want my honest opinion. I dont like anything about him whatsoever. I dont like his colour, I think his head is too small, his legs are too short, his muzzle is too squashed up and he looks "stuffy".

I realise this isnt going to be a popular opinion, but all I can say is that if he is the CC record holder for the breed, then the staffordshire bull terrier is not the breed It once was :?

I can, and I just have.
Im sure hes a nice dog and his owners are proud of him, but I just dont think he looks the way a stafford should.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though

I agree CBT, definitley not a fan of the way this dog looks especially around the head. Just one question surely when the nose becomes shorter and the head wider like this it cannot be good for breathing?

Lel why should Azz do that? It is the perfect Stafford there is and always will be debate about this it shouldnt have to be the perfect KC stafford I mean if it was there would still be people arguing a varying type. It should not turn into one and them. You all gave your opinions about the pictures of the fitter more athletic dogs and now all we are doing is giving an opinion on the show type dogs.

Oh yes stupid me I am so sorry only views from show people my apologies  .

Yes it is very repetative Lel but then it is a place for debate and usually when debates have gone full circle people tend to repeat what has been said as usually people stick to their guns and so we usually end up hearnig the same views more than once. At the end of the day people are never going to agree as we all like different things in life but I dont see that as a reason for having to split posts...

Again Tusker sorry for replying to your post when it clearly was directed at the people who show their dogs my apologies :)

No point scoring or sarcasim intended lel, afterall its only a debate on the perfect Stafford not sure why you think I would feel the need to point score, I am capable of having an adult debate.

No sarcasim either, I simply realised that I replied to a post that really was not intended for me to reply and said sorry.......where is the harm in that eh.
