    Hi all,

    I am new to the forum... having just aquired two border collie puppies (Cash and Dylan).

    I grew up with two lab coss borders who are now 17 years old, and still going strong living with my parents.

    So add two more to the list :grin:

    Wow, it's lovely to see so many BCs in the same place.
    I'm hoping to get one this year, when I do I'll remember this thread!

    No not yet, I've been researching and have found some lines that I like.

    I've had a collie x before (we rescued her as an adult) but I've never had to pick a pure bred pup before (apart from Gucci, but he's a Springer) I want to make sure I make the right choose - any tips?

    I'd like to do a bit of every thing, showing, obedience and agility (first and foremost I want a pet of course) is it ok to all three?

    It sounds as though it will be a lucky dog doing so many different activities :)

    I have only ever had ISDS reg collies, not KC, so couldn't advice you on a KC BC. However, there are plenty of owners on here who have show border collies, and I am sure they will be able to give you loads of advice :)

    Of cours it's ok to do all 3, my Bertie has done showing as a puppy (6 months - 1 year), agility (1 year - 10 years), heelwork to music (3 years - 7 years), PAT therapy visits (5 years - 10 years).

    I have'nt contacted any breeders yet as I am unsure when I'll be ready for a new family member (I'm between jobs and don't want any more vet bills than I already have! [Gucci has a very expensive skin condition:-( ])

    Do you think I should get in contact now or wait untill Im actuly able to take on a puppy?

    Not that I know which breeder to use.

    Recently, I had to reduce the BC total by one, on account of the passing of my dear, dear Snorri-dog. I'm very pleased to be able to put it back up by one with the addition of the "new" Thorgier, so, as you were, folx!

    We have Astra Sky he is a black and white BC now aged 20 months and he is ISDS registered. We then adopted Ravenhill Blazing Sunshine who is an ex farm collie and he is red and white and now aged 16 weeks.

    They are kept in control by Jazz our JRT aged nearly 15 and live with 43 cats - some they roundup others just claw them!

    i got a border collie 2 weeks befor xmass shes grait.

    so thats border collie 93

    iv got a mate with a border collie so can i add that one if so that 94

    Hi, I'm new here, so thought I would add another BC to the collection!!!
    Mac is nearly 7 months old now and we are working towards heelwork to music and obedience!
    Sorry not figured out how to add a pic but will do soon!!!
