Wolfgar is in both my NI`s pedigrees, was he supposed to be a Ute?

No, Wolfgar was from Eddy Harrison so is behind a lot of pedigrees

You should know by now Dawn that I'm not one of them. Just because I'm a NIS member doesn't mean that I'll be making the same mistakes anyone else has ;-) For a start, Nushka won't be bred from until she's at least 2 and that's only if all the health tests that I intend to have done come back clear and there's no obvious breed faults ;-)

Its her breeding and lack of knowing exactly what that was that would concern me, buying one from JK would be the biggest mistake anyone could make in my book. I know you will do all appropriate tests, I would never question you in that way.

    Good for you, Corrie!!!

You've probably already thought of it  but have you checked out the dam's lines for any potential health issues?

I've never had any contact with the Dam's owner but it's something I shall be looking into :023:

    Was Wolfgar an NI TW?

I do intend on researching lines on both sides of Nushka for any potential issue's Dawn, and it'll go back as far as 3 generations. There's a lot of homework for me to do, but it's something I feel that HAS to be done to try and ensure the health of Nushka's future litters.

No Wolfgar was owned by Eddy, and although he was one of the founder dogs used at that time they had no name as I really don't think Eddy was looking to start a new breed as such. She had a love of wolves and wanted to breed a dog that looked like a wolf but acted like a dog. I am sure if she knew half of what was going on now she would be appalled.

And is 3 generations enough thought it would be more than that.

Linda is referring to Luca. I never had Luca from a puppy ;-) Hope that's cleared up your confusion ;-)

It's a damned sight more than some breeders are doing ;-)

If you want a 5 gen then i'm sure they can give it too you. We have a 5 gen for Ela on one side and are getting the other side for our website.

We are also trying to get some piccys to include to make the ped more interactive :)

You need to go a damn sight further back than that Corrie, you cannot just dismiss all the inbreeding and dreadful breeding practices, many issues arrive 4/5 generations along.

This is something I would never dismiss Dawn and you should know me better than that. I have only got a 3 gen pedigree but I know that I can get a 4/5 one and if I have to go further back, then I will, but without the help of a qualified genetesist, I have to rely on the help of people I trust.

I take it then that you feel the following adds are also irresponsible?

The first one seems to be Sandra Curry's dog Luna Werewolf. Wonder why she's getting rid of her? She seems a lovely looking girl.

The rest are two BI's and an NI. I wonder who the NI belongs too?

They are private rehomings thought NIS was a rescue seen although they have a rescue co-ordinator.

The one difference I see is that the first one that KCJack listed states the dog is not suited to living with other pets, seems the others are, that would be my first concern. JK has also advertised other NI's not suited to living with other dogs or children on her own website, seems this type of temperament is what she advertises at times? hardly what you would expect for a friendly, submissive type eh? :002:

Dawn correct me if I am wrong (as if:mrgreen: ) but did you not frown upon poor Bev because she had Burfoot up for rehoming and she mentioned he was entire........

Is Luna suited to live with other pets then? It's just a shame she's selling a beautiful looking girl.

Not all NI's are suited to live with other dogs or children, that is true. I'm the first one that will say that ;-)
