Suzy seen although Tans Mum is looking for a healthy Ni can you mention your breeder and your Mums as you are lucky and have wonderful ones? You have been asked this question 10 times with no response.
KCJack, I can understand your persistence but we all know it seems that at least 90% of NI owners and breeders refuse to give any information that may help the breed or a prospective owner. It would seem that they think that their dogs, alone in the dog world, do not have any problems and any one who suggest there may be is shouted down or ignored. Think I am trying to say you are waisting your time, you and I and many others know you are wasting your time as questions, however simple, are never answered.
I have not shouted anyone down, I have no information about my dogs to give that will help the breed and although the questions are simple I don't see why I should answer a person who has called me a troll and a liar. I have lots of info for a perspective buyer and have given it in an earlier post. My dogs at present have no problems, I am aware there are some health issues as with every breed but don't agree that it is as prevelent as some would like us to believe, thats it ....nothing sinister .I will continue to ignore kc .... as she does not want this info for the good of the breed or for perspective owners but for an opportunity to have a dig cos thats the kind of gal she is...also its quite entertaining
Humm convieniant well lets hope someone else who is interested in the good of the breed can ask where you got your healthy inuits from so we know who are good breeders, why this is a secret is baffling
Can't understand how you think your post answers mine, all that has been asked of you is details of the breeding of your and your Mums NI, something most, if not all, of us in other breeds would be happy to supply. If for some reason you are unable or unwilling to supply this information then why not just say why and lets stop having to read the same unanswered question over and over again. Your feeling about KC Jack or hers for you are of no importance in the scheme of things, rise above the taunts and answer the question like any responsible dog owner.
So why not say so, if as she says they are in good health and are of good temperament why not say we bred them the sire was ...... dam was ...... and leave it at that, a perfectly normal question answered in the normal way, not advertising just giving information as requested by those who are interested, for what ever reason. I find it hard to understand what all the cloak and dagger stuff is about, it is legal to breed dogs and it is reasonable for those interested in the welfare of dogs to ask questions, sometimes probing but what is the harm in that, open replies breed trust and in this case in particular trust is needed by the bucket load.
maybe if she won`t say who her dogs are... she can post pics of all of them... as i find it strange for a dog owner not to want to show them off
But remember this is the same person who wouldn't even admit to owning a NI and posted her dogs as BTs. :?
perhaps her own dogs are too easily recognisable, she could always post a picture of someone else's dogs. Suzy is not Ursula she has already said that, she also said she is not NIS, and she is not Starr and she is not a liar............ oops yes I forgot she is Starr .
Good grief, I think I have discovered a new health problem associated with the NI - not a problem contracted by the dogs themselves but by the owners - an inability to tell it as it is and play games with those who would really like to help this sad sack of a breed pull it's self together. As to breeding from dogs that are carriers or effected - it is beyond comprehension - to be honest to continue with the breeding and development with this type of crossbreed is irresponsible and unforgivable unless everyone concerned is prepared to work together to try to sort the mess.
excuse me all i wanted was some info on these dogs and several people have turned this thread into a slanging match, none of those involved (you know who you are) are really selling your breed, in fact i have never been put off any breed so fast in my life. for all of you who posted informative replies to my questions thank you very much
that`s the idea hun... if i were you, i really would not want to be involved in all this rubbish... or end up with a very sick or dead young dog. If i had my time over again.. and i knew the truth... i wouldn`t have touched it with a bargepole. Don`t get me wrong.. i love my dogs.. warts and all.. because they are just that.. my dogs and what ever their breed.. is irelevent in my feelings for them.
seems strange when trying to establish a breed anyone who is interested in them is put off by all the he said/she said petty bitchiness??
I looked into NIs before we got Beau and it wasn't the petty bitching that put me off (didn't help), it was the lack of facts and the secrecy surrounding them. There were never any real answers to where they came from and what they came from. Just a lot of vague, idealised stories about inuit type dogs. This was all before I became aware of the health problems which have begun to be talked about (a year ago, we were still being told that there were no health problems). It makes me so sad as I look at these dogs and think there are some beautiful ones but they are not for me:? Having said all that, all dogs deserve a forever home and rescuing any breed is admirable as long as you know what you are taking on
Please don't drag me into your siily quarrells on the internet, I have no interest in you, this forum or your views on northern Inuits so leave me out of it. I have also been shown a post you made slagging one of my dogs off Please don't jane, I have only met you a couple of times you don't know me or my dogs so keep your nose out of my business and please don't refer to me again.
lol.. hi suzy.. not slagging off.. telling the truth.. or do you deny Shey has a problem with other bitches?
Guys i think this thread has been hi-jacked enough now. If you have a problem Janie then keep it to a PM or contact Admin. Could have sworn this was advertised as a 'Friendly' dog forum . . I have reported that post so hopefully it will be reomoved soon.
what is happening here is a TRUE view of northern inuit dogs... good and bad, as the op wanted. Not a sugar coated view that so many NI owners seem to want to put forward. Why? It doesn`t do potential owners any good.. when they`ve got a dog.. that doesn`t like other dogs, high prey drive and wants to kill next doors kitty, moults enough to make two new dogs every few weeks.. destroys your home every time they are left alone.. or dies before the age of 3.. from a genetic disease.
