I agree with you about one thing Mark, that the dogs are stunning, pity about some of the breeders and the breed clubs though, they have really let the dogs down .

Read through the threads in this section going back years and you will see what I mean (though I expect you know what is in them already). We have seen so much devious and underhand behaviour from people who are supposed to be promoting these dogs. It is impossible to know who to believe, we have even had people adopting multiple personalities and posting on here in order to agree with themselves.

I haven't looked at your profile Mark, I tend to look at them when people first join, most genuine people fill them in then.

The question posed here is 'What happens now' , lets hope for the sake of the dogs some people wake up and realise that you can't build anything without firm foundations and if you don't have integrity you will never earn respect and can't hope to succeed.

Under age? it was my understanding that the bitch in question was out on a breeding contract, and was bred without pomition or knowlege of the owner. So with that in mind, how is some one suposed to be responsible for something they knew nout about.

As far as the topic of this thread goes, what do I think will happen with the NIS now, well... unless the bickering and backstabbing stops, nothing good. To be honist, I think its a case of shape up or ship out.

So what does it mean to send your bitch out on a breeding contract?

Exactly what it says on the tin. The enfosis is on the word contract, as they normally come with stipulations which the person signing agrees to. So, if the contract stated that the bitch was not to be bred from until x amount of months old, then any reasonable person would adhere to that, not mate the bitch anyway, lie about it, and refuse the give the dog back to its rightfull owner. I don't know about you, but I find that disgusting behaviour. Yes the dog may have been Marie's, but if she didn't know about it, how can she be held accountable. In my oppinion, ya can't be blamed for trusting someone.

Breeding contracts vary but usually work like this. The breeder 'gives' a bitch to someone on condition that when it is bred from the breeder gets to have a say in the choice of stud dog and usually gets the pick of the litter or litters .
I personally don't think letting bitches go on breeding terms is good breeding practise, it encourages the production of too many dogs and frequently leads to arguments and bad feeling on all sides.

The dog belongs to its owner, it is out on a contract to someone else. As for why, I can't answer that, I don't have the answer.

    OK.. what happens now???

Nothing..its that way it always has been, its the way it always willbe.. there are plenty more people willing to worship at the feet of the god that is JK!!

and as long as they don't see her for what she is..then everything will stay the same..Even when they said they had removed her from her position as president they didnt' really..just gave her a new name..

Its pathetic..but it will continue to be pathetic..but it will continue to be..as it was..as it will be..

    Poor dogs..have no future whatsoever..

Failing that..all the people who have now left will start a new group and call them something different..

let me clarify that...you have proof of many more? I have been looking at breeders and planned NIS litters for 2 years, and have not seen any of this...seeing as the girl is 5 years old, it is a bit before the time I started, but if there really are many more, I would have thought I might have come across this......so who was the breeder?

Laura you do know me it's Valerie. I can understand you being hurt as the two committee members shut you out and they were suppossed to be friends but this seems like a personal issue to me not one that is about the NIS the committee and nothing to do with ethical breeding practices! Now when a certain forum was set up and looked like a witch hunt to me I asked you then was there any truth in the allegations and accusations made against the breeders and you said to me "if any of that was true you would not be part of the NIS committee", so what is the truth Laura as I do understand that you were shut out and not treated very well personally and if it had been me I would have done one of two things, 1.fought my corner and stayed within the committee and 2, left and told them where to shove it. But like I said this doesn't seem to be about a bigger issue it is a personal issue between you and 2 committee members. Please correct me if I am wrong.

    Hi Laura

Just wanted to ask, as there has been speculation and it would be nice to know one way or the other, not very long after Ian's statement of resignation appeared on here, many of us from the 'old' NIS forum were invited to join a new forum, obviously I cannot put the name on here. Is this forum connected to you or Ian? (other than the fact that you are a member on there ).

    Thanks for your time.

Helped set up, I thought it was a little more than that. The Domain name of a certain forum is registered to Ian, I thought people registered Domain names for themselves not others. I have the details if you wish to see them.

Have to agree with that. I think the whole NI/Ute thing is a complete mess.

Thank you both for your answers. It is simply that, and Laura I hope you can understand how it looks. It looks like, the above mentioned new forum was set up, NIS members were invited (and it says nowehere in the invite whos forum it is etc), not many signed up....and then the NIS forum was taken over , existing members and all their threads etc and then the forum name changed, could it be because the new forum was not very successful :?: ........I may be off the mark but it looks suspicious.......

I am talking about a general one and the old NIS one, that is now an 'unofficial' NID one.

    Ok thats clearer, thanks.
I know there's a lot of politics around the old nis forum but why would anybody be peed off about Ian or Laura setting up a forum thats set up for all types of dogs?
