Yea. If I took Mr Bronson with me he'd be on my lap the entire time no doubt, with the air stewardess wanting cuddles all the time!
When I exported a Cavalier puppy to Norway, she travelled as hand luggage in a cat carrier. Once in the air, the stewardesses couldn't wait to get her out, and she was cuddled all the way there. A vet was waiting on the tarmac to check her docs. and pass her fit to continue to her new home in Stavanger fjord. I don't think that would happen these days, but I thought it was the perfect way to travel. Mr Bronson is maybe a little small to help with the laundry - yet. If you have time, have a look at an Eddie post in the Beagle forum, it is something like 'Is there a Trade Union for Beagles'. He is my little helper around the house, and loves to be given a job to do.
Going on my first night out in over 4 years, to watch a band. And this is the longest I will have been away from my little man. I'm hoping he'll be alright with my mum looking after him?
Gareth - you cannot stay at home all the time worrying that there might be an attack if you go somewhere.
That is true, otherwise we may as well just give in and let them win. I'm going to have a brilliant night and enjoy myself fully, knowing I got my little man to go home to as well!
Well after my night out last night I thought I'd treat Mr Bronson today. He's been for his walk then had his first bathtime, which was quite an event for him, but he was really good and seemed to enjoy it, especially the part where he shook everywhere and I got soaked! I bought him a new bed too as he's outgrown his puppy one now (mind you washing it probably wasnt the best idea as it shrunk, and now you can fit a hedgehog in it!). Now he's fast asleep after having a mad 10 minutes, but no doubt will soon wake up in a sec when it's din dins!
I did thanks, despite the singer being ill and having trouble singing, he did his best and carried on when they could have cancelled.
I've been bathing today too. Did Eddie last week, so it was Merry's turn today. We now have a strangely aromatic wet dog niff about the place.
I've got a new song I sing to Mr Bronson when I'm preparing his food. 'Dinner Dinner Dinner Dinner, Bronson!'
Yes, it is nice when they don't react. My current two don't bother at all - bar the occasional jump at a very loud bang, but the two Jacks next door go abolutely berserk. I have had dogs in the past that were genuinely distressed, so have signed the Government petition to restrict their use - I'll be amazed if anything does change though.
