    Hi all I am a lurcher lover and my family has always had and worked the breed. Anything crossed with a greyhound or whippet is classed as a lurcher but technically it's a mongrel so not recognised in any professional group.ie kc but lurcher groups have their own specified grouping depending on what cross the lurcher is.i don't think you can be too picky with this breed about if it's a hound or not.
