Looks and traits in cross breeds Discussions

    thank you, obviously, we think she's adorable!
    (i'll have to get round to doing a proper photo thread of the ginger pig at some point)

    all her sisters are the same, her only brother in the litter has turned out to be the total opposite, body of a mastiff with the personality of a staff, and quite a handfull by all accounts!

    I had a foxhound cross GSD. Looked like a GSD with foxhound ears. She had the herding instinct and the hunting instinct.
    Had a GSD mentality with a foxhound brain. Thick as mince and bluddy lethal when she got a scent. She was a really gentle, steady dog though.
    Oh, and absolutly no recall.
    Crackin dog. I miss her like mad.

    Some traits can cross over from breed to breed and some are just individual dog traits too. Kiki has been quite a different experience to owning GSDs but whether that's due to her inheriting Rottie traits or just her own personal traits, I wouldn't really know! I did notice lots of similar traits in the Rottie we fostered over Christmas though.

    Top one (mine) is a x breed, botom three are Dutch Shepherds...VERY similar (US DSD breeder thought she was a DSD...dont think she is tho!)
