Can I ask how much grooming Mia needs. I'm looking for a friend for Harry and a companion for my daughter who loves Harry to bits but can't lead walk him as he is too big and powerful. She is gorgeous........

I always keep her coat clipped short... usually monthly (i do this myself) This definitely cuts down on the grooming... but i do give her a general brush once or twice a week. Her coat is more like a lhasa`s than a dachshund, so she doesn`t shed. She is a great little dog, but has her own mind.

She is a cutie, but was an accidental mating, so not very common.

There is another member on here with a maltese cross dachshund.. called Gracie Lou, who looks almost identical to Mia when she was little.. see post http://www.dogsey.com/showthread.php?t=77122.

I`ve also seen lhasa cross malteses that also look very similar.

If you are looking for a pure bred dog... she is most like a Lhasa Apso in her temperament and appearance.. just longer and shorter
