It's pretty horrible and disappointing when they come again so soon. But he's okay, thanks guys. It's just that I KNOW it is in his lines and I KNOW now that the breeder lied to me when I asked if it was. She knew all along. That's why I get so angry with thoughtless breeding. Sorry to get away from your subject kcjack.
I have heard its really hard to get the medicine spot on and can takes years to get it right, have ou had that problem.
Sorry to hear of Loki...Ihad an old dog I saw fit once and wouldn't want to see it again, heart goes out to you xx
Poor Loki and you too LS. Its horrible to see your dog go through this. I remember how I felt when I had to watch my GSD many years ago having fits. Its heartbreaking. Hugs to you both. xx
Thank you. Yes, it's an ongoing thing because they check his blood levels every 3-4 months with respect to the dose and how he's doing. We also have rectal diazepam because he clusters very badly. His epilepsy is very aggressive and he is very unlikely to ever be fit free. But we look after him and fingers crossed, you know? To get back to your topic , I hope he will have many more years (he's 4) but ... I don't know.
love that photo,, thanks for that ;-) Huge hugs LS, it must be so hard for you, both mentally , and physically when your not getting sleep at night.. huge hugs to loki too xxx
Good guess hit the nail right on the head, PM me going to be hard enough now they back from there boycot to keep this on topic.
some of my oldies..... logan my old GSD age 13 years... the wee dog next door in the middle and my rescue Bullmastiff kieser;-)
It was a while ago didnt see the point in mentioning it but seen as though Elaine is on one she left me no choice, just that you reckong you know loads and have loads of fosters and not to ask advice on my bullie foster things like that. I really would like to get back on topic please guys oldies are quite dear to me and find this aspect of Nis really interesting.
awe bless...... dont know where I have ever stated I had LOADS of fosters But I have had two rescue bullmastiffs, one I kept after his initial assessment{kieser} the other one came to me for assessment due to aggression issues... after training she went on to be re-homed with a friend of mine, so I could continue to work with her...... shes a golden oldie too now... I stopped taking bullmastiffs in when I started showing and breeding the rotties, the problem being,, I couldnt take the risk of infection.. more so when I started breeding.. sasha brought a horrid infection here with her here is a photo of her taken a couple of months ago... aint she a cracker
She is adorable, I have had enough of young fosters so for next 6 month just taking in the oldies. I love them so easy. I so want a bullmastif one day.
(((hugs))) to all of you xxxxxx I am very partial to an oldie myself He is v. handsome and young looking
This is Kita born 1996 and died 2008.Owned by a dear friend who has now had 2 puppies from me to keep him company.Kita died of no hereditory or serious diseases but it was just her time to leave for the bridge, sadly missed never replaced.
I asked this question on NIS a while back. Julie mentioned 2 & Jem mentioned 2. I'm sure someone else posted they had one thats 10 but cant remember who.
Just word of mouth most though why havent the established breeders got any. How many oldies does JK have? If she has 8 breeding bitches plus studs then surely must have a few oldies.
