Ooooh how cute. I am jealous. Make sure and take some photos for us all to see next time you go to see them
this was holly as a pup with tob her body guard. this is hol now trying to get a cuddle........i'm under her some where.
Aww how cute!! I have just spoken to a local leo owner on the phone - I phoned the vets earlier to ask if they had any registered because I was thinking of getting one and wanted to chat to someone who had been there and done it locally. She was a lovely lady and very helpful... I am now even more convinced I am doing the right thing. Just have to prove my parents wrong (I live on my own and they dont think it will be good for me to do alone) and raise a beautiful, well behaved girl
Ooooh yes. I'd be very interested in this too. You should start a new thread for this and get everyone involved!!
Yet another question... where on earth do you get supplies from for the extra large variety of dog? Pet shops only seem to go up to large!! Is there anything I should be buying for my new pup in particular other than the food bowls and bed etc?
it depends on the food you are going to use. i feed both of mine on the hills natures choice diet. you can get it from pets at home 12 kg cost about £30. they have a large breed choice as well it tells you on the lable. i would advice you to keep the pup on puppy type food till at least 18 months old to 22 months and from 22 to 24 start weaning over to adult. remember they grow for a long time and need the pup to help with bone structure and strength. other than the usual stuff you need with a dog i feed mine in raised bowls i have the type where you can raise them as they grow.they say the bowl should be 4" lower than the shoulders. only other thing i got was a bucket.................. water bowls are fine for pups but are soon empty with the adults. mine have a 12 lt bucket for water on the drive and if they pick go for the bucket over a bowl. most brands cater for the giants but i would feed hills again if i got a pup, it is 1 of the most expensive but worth it while they are pups. other than that see what your breeder is weaning them onto. tob was weaned on to pedigree chum puppy and arden grange when we got him. hol was on eukanuba which is simliar to hills so i believe.
