A friend of mine puppy walked a leo for guide dogs for the blind, she was named kilo,as she was sponsored by the local police and kilo is there call sign. She now lives in southampton with her blind owner.
These dogs are magnificent Much too big and hairy for me to own but I definitely wouldn't say no to a cuddle!
brill pics! can you send him round to do mine? i knew the tongues was useful for some thing else......lol
Aww, Kai is sooo cute... and so are the others. I hope to be getting a Leo puppy in the next few weeks... I am going to see them Saturday so any, absolutely any advice is very welcome! There are a few things which trouble me though... I am a female living alone and will have to walk her/him alone... is this likely to be a problem for me (I'm 5ft 4 and of average weight)? Also... and this is what troubles me more... am I going to have to have more than one... no one seems to have just one!?!?!? I have a Lab x already!!
hi i am only 4 ft 12 and walk mine so you will be fine. i weight 7stone 5lb last time i looked. toby my lad is 75kg approx 12 stone as long as you teach your pup the rules from the start how you want them to walk on the lead and keep to it your'll be fine. it is hard work but the more you can get into them before 6 months the better as they grow fast your'll have a good weight to handle by then. what are you getting a boy or girl? the lads gain weight faster hence the they need to know more so than the girls. as for more than 1 there isn't many that stay at 1. i started out as 1 and some how gone on to 2 but i don't regret it, truth be know i would have another.
Thanks Leo. I am going to have the pick of the litter pretty much I think and he has 7 pups. I have a boy now so I would like a girl. He has been 'done' and she would be too at some point so I wont have to worry about babies (although they would be nice!!). I wouldnt mind another one but I have to consider where I am and my neighbours because I also have to work (albeit it is around the corner!).
Hi Pxxuk and welcome to Dogsey. I'm hoping to get a Leo puppy at Christmas. Been to see the breeder and met her two gorgeous Leos, so just waiting for the female to come into season. She was due in at the end of June and is keeping us all waiting. I'm so excited, I'll bet you are two
Yes, I am. I am supposed to be able to have her/him in 3 weeks time but (and this is bad timing) I am due to go on holiday for 2 weeks so hometime has had to be delayed until the beginning of October unfortunately. They are 5wks old tomorrow
