    Wouldn't have a Lab (can I swap it for a Golden Retriever?), BUT if I had to choose a colour it would be black, first and foremost. Or fox red (red fox sounds daft :lol: ).

    In order of preferance

    1)Yellow
    2)Black
    3)Chocolate
    4)Fox Red

    I grew up with a black lab but my uncle had a yellow and i loved him, the lines in that pedigree has a very light yellow(almost white) and they always looked gorgeous....i love the really dark yellow ones too :p

    It would be yellow for me too. Dexter on here is, imo the perfect colour!

    I have a chocolate:

    I doubt I will ever have a chocolate again. Atleast not untill, they mix some more spunk into them. Here in Denmark the chocolates are lazy gits.. Retrieving? Naah do it yourself..

    Did I know that, when I was getting my first dog, I would never have gotten her. (But now I couldn't cope without her:grin: )

    So I think the next one will be black.. Or a dark yellow. Gonna have a struggle getting the right adjustments for my camera though.. Oh well I'll learn:grin:

    Yellow Labs, for me. Specifically the darker shades of yellow, as opposed to the Labs that are White.

    That said, there are some gorgeous Black & Chocolate Labs around too. Last week I met a very young, but big, Choc Lab boy - the colour of this dog was STUNNING.

    My last dog was black & I miss him soo much :( I would love to have another black when the time is right. Always think woud be lovely to have a black, yellow & a choc.

    LOL if we're being really pedantic, then there's no such thing as a 'fox red' or 'red fox' Lab: they are classified as Yellow.

    My favourite is Yellow, like my Dex:

    My favourite is black; because my boyfriend's wildfowling bitch is black and absolutely wonderful. I love seeing her leaping the big creeks and sitting facing into the wind to spot the ducks. She's sooo smart!
