    Hi,Welcome to Dogsey :)
I am sorry to hear about Kyza,
I have found Bosco's story for you,
    http://www.freewebs.com/parbeau/boscosstory.htm

Maybe you could contact those kennels and they would be able to advise you.

    Thanks Sal,

It is a very hard thing to watch as u stated before , he is like my baby. Thank god he is insured it cost over £3000 just to get to the conclusion this is what he has. The animal hospital in Glasgow didnt give me very much information on it at all just what to expect and what medication to give him.

I am concerned as I knw who all has Kyza's brothers and sisters and as far as a knw 2 of them are still intending to breed them which I find disgusting . I have reported it but nothing can be done about it :(

I would go back to the 2 people who intend to still breed and tell them how important it is to get the dogs tested. it is possible that their dogs could be clear/carriers. If they are carriers they can be put to a clear if am reading the below correctly? (taken from the AHT site)

For a dog to be affected with an autosomal recessive disease, both its parents have to be either carriers or affected. If two carriers are mated together on average one in four of their offspring will be affected, one in four will be genetically clear and half will be carriers.

    Hi Dobermonkey,

There was 4 pups in the litter, I live on a small island where everyone knws everyone I have contacted all the owners and even the breeder I got Kyza from and gave them all the information I have and only 1 of them are taking it seriously and thats coz its a relative of mine who has seen everything a have went thro with Kyza and seen him at his worse. The other 2 dont care at all and to make it worse they r the breeders mother and father and his sister has the other one.

Everytime I hear of them trying to breed with other people I go and tell the other person all about the litter n tests and they end up pulling out, so far this has worked .

Did you look at the links I put on the other thread because there is a long story about someone who had a =n affected dog and she is up in scotland.

She got hers before testing was available and has tried very hard to help others and encourage testing
