thanks for all the great comments ,ill pop few more on (got me started now ) she is lovely sweet girlie (very bossy though ) she dos have bit blue merle same as her brother across her back ,her legs as you can see are a mass of freckles (naughty spots ) dapples
She's beautiful. I saw a dog that was the spitting image of her today...I should have asked the owners!
thats the same thing they said to us ,they had her down as blue merle x collie ;-) we meet lots of x bham dogs home rescue on are travels ,when you go into reception ,see if they have picture of her and dylan up as i sent them a up date to put up ,some time ago ,when they got the parvo out break i sent parcel of blankets over to them
yours are stunning ,they do have the same look dont they ,same collar as well lol ,your black and white boy is just lovely
Sorry if I am being dumb But blue merle is a colour not a breed?? you can get a full border collie who is a blue merle in colour But pretty whatever
She's lovely, definitely all Collie - whichever one! I have to say though, her colouring does remind me a bit of an Australian Shepherd Dog! :? ETA: A bit like the ones at the top of this page
def tons of collie abit of rough or smooth collie (prob smoothies as she dosent have that much coat.) theres still a tincy wincy bit of her that i cant pin point but screams GSD! I cant see any spaniel!!!!!
Right just to add my two penneth LOL I think Rough Collie X Spaniel the coat looks more like roaning then merle to me and old fashioned rough collies do not have great big fluffy coats the have fitted jackets however the coat length could also be affected by the other part of the cross This is my tri colour rough
For the differences you can get in BC's have a look here http://www.gis.net/~shepdog/BC_Museum/index.html and scroll to the bottom
its a rough but could well have been born from smooth parents they still occur occasionally as they used to be interbred. editd to add although size is difficult to tell
