Hi I am no expert, looking at him I thought maybe he has a neurological problem (brain damage? or problem there) just a thought, could be many things wrong, sorry the little guy is so poorly, does he still have the tiny sharp needle like teeth or proper dog teeth? that would give you a better idea at his age?

Hi, thanks for ur time to help reply.
Yes, 1 of the doctors said that its possibly some shock or brain problem.

other doctor prescribed a neurological injections as well.
in that case the Dr. said its no chance for his recovery. :(

i'm trying to make him happy with cuddles, affection, little games, which he dosnt respond much. but i hope he gets better.

Exactly my thoughts too about his hiccups.

Poor little mite, he sure does need some weight putting on him doesn't he. I like the fact that his tail wags a lot,. and he doesn't look to be in pain, he seems happy enough, except for being tied up,but sounds like that is a temporary thing for when you take him out.

Definitely not a white german shepherd as I had a white gsd, the face and ears are all wrong for a shepherd, more like some hound mix.

He needs lots of food, little and often, even 6 meals a day to build the poor boy up, he needs to sustain his growth being a puppy. Lovely little chap, and I'm sure he's very happy, he certainly looks it to me with that tail.

I would leave the training until you've built him up into the puppy he should be, he's been very sick by the sounds of it and good on you for showing him the love that you have.

I really would urge you to stop wasting time trying to find out what 'breed' he is and spend the time instead trying to find some medical help for him.

Rice and chicken is good (small portions throughout the day) you can get supplement powders to sprinkle on the food to help stop sickness. And a diuralyte mixture to stop dehydration.

Really needs a good checkover, a diagnosis and 24hr care in the hope that he can be nursed back to health.

I didn't want to mention some neurological damage (I didn't even watch the whole vid as I found it too distressing). When my dog was deathly ill she couldn't even stand or walk properly - she held one back leg up all the time in a constant sort of 'scratching' movement and kept falling over too. Her severe diaorrhea lasted a month.

The vet could not reassure me she would live and thought the damage to the leg would be permanent (she'd had lots and lots of fluid injections to rehydrate her and he thought one of them might have damaged a nerve).

One month later she was unrecognisable. And now she is a perfect picture of health. But she did require a LOT of care and attention.

I'm having an idea that, i'm not a responsible dog owner, because i let the dog on chain, and i think every dog should be on leash when out ^_^

but from many fellows advise i have started giving 6 meals a day for him starting today. that would be 600gram of minced beef, or minced chicken in rice(for change), i bought a vitamin powder and will try that on rice. medication along(calcium & vitamin syrup) he drinks water quite ofen so i dont think he needs hyderation medicine, but i'll contact the vet and if any he would suggest.

20 mins casper's poopy time, every time after he releives, he start running and grabbing my feet my pents and legs, yeah that mouthing, i yelp, i yell NO, nothing effects him, but when i stop moving he stops. will need to work on that. besides that. i'm happy and love him.

    You ppl Rock :)

I think it was just as he was chained up in the house while he is so ill that people took offence to, but as you explain it is for toilet time that is good, and yes he must be on lead for that, you don't want him running off x
I suggest maybe you give the vet college a call and explain your worries about him and see if they can help? It may be an interesting study for their students, I am not sure it would work but if you try it, well you don't know until you try.
With the nipping your clothes it is normal puppy behavior but you are doing right to discourage, I would not shout or anything some pups get more excited by that, maybe try just standing still and ignoring and when he stops then give him a toy to bite, or a treat and a stroke for being good :)

Hi, im sorry to worry you.
I have final exams, so am very busy now a days.
My Dog is active now, but the problem to him is permanent.
He have neurological brain damage. And Dr. said the chances of recovery are very low.

Besides he is very loud some times when i sleep.
and funny when i take him out for poopy time.
we play hide & seek, and he cant smell me and would pass from me forward. but when he sees me, he rushes towards me.

Its been 2 months, and it makes me sad about his condition. but i'm trying as much its in my hands.

Its hot season here and i dont take him out until dawn, when it gets dark. or else i would have posted his new video playing with me.

I'm sorry his condition is permanent. Does that mean he won't survive beyond a certain age?

When you say he is very loud - is he barking a lot? Do you think he could be in pain?

I think the best you can do (as you seem to be doing anyway) is give him a good comfortable life and avoid any stress for the little lad.

It was very good of you to come back and give us an update on your dog's condition.

    Best of luck to you.

    Sandy.

Thanks for coming back with an update on your little fella.

The fact that it has been confirmed that he is mentally handicapped I really wouldn't expect too much of him. Make him comfortable and give him lots of love. He may not even be capable of learning commands so just accept him for who he is and and don't get cross with him .... he's very very cute.:049:

Thanks for the update. You're a good person, trying to do the best for Casper. Much safer in a home with people caring for him,all dogs are, but with his condition especially. He's safe, and I admire you for doing this for him. I wish you both the very best. ((((Hugs))))

Than u all for ur kind regards, i truly wished he become healthy and enjoy his life with me, but i found him at worse condition.

*His body is not gaining control and his growth is stopped, Dr. said he wont have much time with me, i have spent all of my saving, which i was saving to buy a dog on Casper. I would have spent more if i had. I'm very happy to have him coz in my country there are no dog shelters, and when i watch videos fo ppl saving pets from shelters that made me feel that my saving are not worth buying a dog, if i cant save one. but i did not had that oputunity, I thank God that with Casper i was blessed to be able to try and save a life.

*He barks loud when he sees a cat or when i go to feed him.

I understood that he wont follow any command when he do funny tickles and lick when ever say sit, hehe i felt he tell me that, shut up and lets play.

Love u all, and thanks for ur regards.
I'll try to be back some time with pics or video of Casper.
And after that i wont be responding, bcoz i dont want to upset u all bcoz of any problem.

May God bless u all with,
    Health, wealth & Wisdom.

Bsienn we almost all of us know the pain of losing a beloved pet. There is a special section on the forum 'Gone But Not Forgotten'. Please don't feel you have to stay away should you lose your little dog.

I admire you deciding to spend your money on trying to help a dog in need instead of one buying one.

Maybe in the future you will find another dog that needs a good home and hopefully one without major health problems.

A lot of people would have walked by this dog as you say it obviously did have problems from day one. You didn't. You've made a big difference to his life however long he lives.

I'm so very, very sorry. It's great that you tried so hard to save him. I really wished that he could have grown up and gotten healthy and had a normal life. :(

So, so sad... I know what it feels like to lose a dog, and it's never easy. I wish for you two to have strength, and for Casper to have a bit longer with you, as I'm sure he loves you a lot by now.

BTW, a truly beautiful statement is this:

when i watch videos fo ppl saving pets from shelters that made me feel that my saving are not worth buying a dog, if i cant save one

You're an amazing person, and like Tangutica said.. you won't "bother us" with your problems, that is why the site is here... to help people with their issues regarding their dogs, and to share their stories.
