I will not be there as it is PD, I think what Terry says is right, however..........

You can disagree and say you would like to train both until you find out which one you PREFER to train for this or which one is more suitable.

Nobody can MAKE you drop one dog in favour of another.

My approach would be, "Yes I am sure you are right, but I am enjoying training both dogs at the moment, when I am not I will let you know" or words to that effect.

It IS difficult to train two dogs at the same time but not impossible.

I am sure you will enjoy watching the NWWTS trial, they usually have very nice tracking ground.
