gun dog training....info needed! Working Dogs

it my be worth noting that there have been successful prosecutions where a s/pistol has been discharged...
Two ladies training their gundogs (on private land with permission if memory serves) made the news not too long ago....so do be careful (even in the middle of nowhere!)

Re your dogs age: It is perfectly possible to train an older dog (assuming the dog is biddable and capable enough!).

I didnt start training one of my bitches until she was just over three (due to my own ill health at the time), yet she has gone on to do extremely well in competition.
Even if you dont achieve all you want to achieve with your dog, look at it as a bonding exercise, as well as training experience for yourself, in preparation for your next dog
