I think from the moment I saw the xrays and photo's of the roof of her mouth, I knew there was no hope, all week I've just felt as though she was suffering for no good reason. Iain wants to be there, so the appointment is made for Wednesday at 10am
I am so sorry Shirley - I had been praying for Rio but it seems like the decision had been made and no amount of prayers could change it. You must be devastated, especially so soon after losing Syd. All I can do is send you (((hugs))) - and hope that my prayers for Rio to have a peaceful passing will be answered.
Thank you all for the support I really appreciate it, I couldn't get back on line last night cos Frankie decided to chew through the laptop charger cable and once the battery run out I was incommunicado. I did try using the OH's laptop which has been on it's last legs for ages and keeps turning itself off but I appear to have killed it once and for all. Rio is ok she struggled a bit with her lunch yesterday as the growth has grown downwards and she can't close her mouth without her bottom teeth digging right into it. It bled a lot over the weekend and I think she's now learnt not to close her mouth. She spent all yesterday afternoon asleep but asked to be fed about 11pm, she ate two large platefuls of tinned dog food mushed up with warm water and went straight to bed. I think hunger got the better of her but as long as she's eating she can do as she pleases. My new charger has arrived so hopefully I won't feel quite so alone and cut off today, great timing Frankie ya little toad . My babygirl in better times This image has been resized. Sod's law she got up this morning full of the joys of spring, went for a walk with Iain and we then went to vets, she charged in and went straight over and sat on the scales as usual. We were early but were taken straight through to the back room, We sat on the floor with her and she was given the injection, as it took effect she took me by surprise as she turned and put her head on my shoulder, I kissed the top of her head and she slowly sank into my arms. Very sweet and totally heart breaking.
oh shirley. Im sure your heart is breaking. i forgot it was this morning. So sorry for you. Sleep tight Rio
