Golden Retriever x Poodle Photos

do they get called Golden Doodles?

They do but the acronym doesn't really work that well (I mean where does the second 'd' come from).

Unlike "Labradoodles" there doesn't seem to be a move to try and push the cross as a breed and most dogs I meet are first crosses (our two are).

I have heard of them but hadn't seen any pics. They are absolutley gorgeous.
What are the temperaments like?

Elmo is very laid back... very, very laid back. Hunny B is a little more frantic but I've not seen either of them "turn" and B is very submissive to other dogs.

They like the water and will happily walk for hours on end.

Yep that was it! I am interested in the reasoning for people getting these crosses and the smaller poodle crosses too. I was very impressed with your article and the knowledge you have regarding your dogs.

Beautiful dogs! My 12 week old Molly looks just like them!! She is a labradoodle - F3B - beautiful coat and so friendly, she wants to be everyones and everything's friend!
