Well i can say I have no winuwuck in any of mine:grin:
out of 24 champions in solos pedigree winuwuck is nowhere and there isnt a one in my laiyas either:grin:
Choice breeding and not using the dog of the moment does do favours and opens the gene pool!

We'd actually like to take a rescue boxer, there are so many who are needing homes due to people not having time for them or they are way more lively than they expected. I think Stan would love a brother or sister and we love having him. We're still at the thinking stage but I do keep nipping on the northern boxer rescue page

id rescue if i could but i dont think that it would work with me having the two little dogs.

daph is very wary of big dogs, sometimes scared of them, as she has been attacked on numerous occasions, so i think bringing in a full grown boxer which would no doubt be hyper because of being in rescue, would do her any good.

at least with a puppy i can teach it manners while it is still small, and it would learn its place in the house without daphni being terrified of it.

There are always boxers of a certain age in rescue ..
As cute pups they get away with murder then they try the same antics at 18 months old and weighing in at 30 plus kg and people rehome them..

White. I saw an article about the white ones that breeders used to cull in a dog mag, once. Loved the look of the white ones.

Someone over the road from us got a boxer puppy (they seem to be more 'fashionable' than staffies now), some time last year. Paid a fortune for it and got a bitch so they can be backyard breeders. Since they got it I have never seen it being walked once and last week when I was waiting for the bus, heard the woman yelling at it at the top of her voice - really nastily.

She has a nursery aged child she is home with all day and where we live there are no pavements to safely push a pushcchair as well as walk a dog - so I am certain this dog isn't getting exercised. It will be around 6 or 8 months old now. I think people want them as fashion accessories sometimes, and they are now at risk of becoming overbred as they're being acquired by people who are not doing the research before they buy, or realising what energetic and powerful dogs they are. (Also stubborn if they're anything like the bull breeds I know!)

from what ive heard theyre not stubborn, theyre just intelligent ;-) i feel so sorry for that poor boxer, is there no way you could offer to take it out for her? :-(

I know and thats unfortunately why i couldnt rehome.. it wouldnt be fair on daphni to bring something in that big that knew no boundaries.

You know, I'm thinking of a subtle way to ask. Not sure how to approach it.

I was thinking when her son told me she was getting it, that it was a disaster waiting to happen.

Must admit I'm too much in love with the bull terriers to want another kind of dog but... those white boxers really caught my eye. I think it was in an old 'Dogs Today', several years back. I gave all my back issues to a friend when she was doing a Dog Training course. Now I wish I'd kept them!

maybe you could just mention the pram thing? and say you dont mind taking it out for them, you have to walk yours anyway.. or you could maybe spin it so it was more positive to you like you would want your dog to socialise more etc?
