Its funny that Helen because Sabre was castrated at 10 months old and he always made a beeline for a certain dog to hump it - a large golden retriever who lived round the corner called Casper. He never did it to anything else or any other dog - just this one
Hiya Foxy, yes Georgie likes Goldies too for that! Apparently he had a family of goldies living opposite him for 5 years, and every time he sees one he falls in love with it! He's not like it with any other dogs, in fact,he's quite blase about other dogs really, unlike Cassie who just has to say hello to everyone! Mind you, he likes black labs too, coz his best mate Billy is a black lab! That was soooo funny, I was chatting to the guy who walks it and he suddenly said "hey, look at George" I had to pull him off quick!Lol! We were both in hoots about it, coz this bloke is an old friend of mine, he recently lost a beautiful long coated g.s.d. who he lived and died for and has been so upset for months now, I daren't mention his dog when I meet him, or he just bursts into tears again, poor man, but we know what it's like don't we. Nice to have you in here with us Foxy!
Barney has a thing about giant white poodles just like Jerry Lee in K9 he is smitten with them bless him Luckily we don't see too many around. Mind you, he also kept trying to hump a male Westie when we used to go to the old training classes, needless to say the Westie was not a happy bunny
Anal Furunculosis is more prone in GSDs and GSD crosses, although it has been found in other dog breeds too. I haven't heard anything about English lines been more prone to it though. No one knows the exact cause of it, although it's more likely in dogs that don't have 'waggy' tails. The lack of ventilation to the anal area is a major contributor to this.
