There are so many scammers adverts around these days... this one is my favourite: If you do reply, you get a standard response with no mention of the breed of puppy, and mysteriously, the advertiser who originally purported to be from Oxford/Cornwall/Aldershot/wherever has urgently had to move to the Isle of Man or Scotland and wants money for 'shipping'.
~If you do respond you get the standard response which is this: Hi there, thanks for the mail.I want to thank you for your mail and i very much appreciate your interest in my puppies, I still have four puppies available,They are 12 weeks old now.2 Male and 2 Female,Names,,,Matt,Kent,Daisy,Lisa. All puppies are hand raised and home trained with all papers,Puppies are KC registered and are healthy as can be! .They are Registered Pedigree Health Guarantee, Certificate of Veterinary Inspection, Micro-Chipped (In case ever lost or stolen), Current on all vaccinations, Wormed, Puppy Packet (Toys, Dog bones, Vaccination schedule and history, Crate Training info and Potty Training info.i will really love that you promise me that you are going to take good care of the puppy for me,so in guiding me look for a lovely home for them and as you know they are very delicate creatures and need a lot of care and devotion,i will like to know the following from you: Do you have kids? By the way on the same advert site, there's a "Cute Malinois Puppy" in Milton Keynes, which is also a schnauzer!!
2 year old thread, too - I think dogboyooo must have found this thread through Google and bumped it up
The ad is a scam which has been circulating for years now - teacup chis, all sorts of cute dogs for which they only want the shipping cost.
Yeah I ran across one of these ads a few years ago I was looking for a Cattle dog and saw an ad for pups that were cheap so sent them a message, funnily enough they had just moved to Ireland and wanted shipping, I knew it was a scam straight away as my husband is Irish and we go over there a lot they sent me a made up address, how I knew it was fake was they added a post code which Ireland does not use a post code, so I tracked their IP address which bounced around the world and ended up in Nigeria! I reported the add but being in a pissy mood thought I would waste their time and kept messaging them, at the point I said I was going to come there to view the pups as I was going to be over there any ways, and would buy one then they stopped all communications with me surprise surprise! hahaha How do people fall for these scams??? Who in their right mind buys a puppy without seeing it, with its mother at least???? And the horse one is even worse, if you are selling a horse they send a message saying they want to buy it, without coming to view it, send a cheque that also has the transporters money in it, the transporter shows up you pay him in cash he takes your money and your horse then the cheque bounces so you have nothing! Oh and more than likely your horse has gone to slaughter. When I sold a horse a few years back I had one of these messages too, and again the IP was in Nigeria. But I would not sell a horse to some one that would not even come see it in the flesh. Grrrrrrr at some people!!!! Oh and by the way my Rosco is still with the lovely woman who bought him living near Bristol, and she is kind enough to still send me updates 4 years on.
