Funny you guys already settled on your breeds... I definitely added a few more to my shortlist this year - perhaps, because this is the first time I have seriously considered getting another dog :)

No I already have my favourite breeds, the only other 2 I would consider are the Gelbbacke (but only the East German type with prick ears, I dont like drop eared dogs) or the Harzer Fuchs, not that you will see any at Crufts

Gosh this is hard as I really love American Pitbulls but since they are banned in England & having already owned & still own my next 4 favourite breeds : Rottweiler's Doberman's, GSD's & of course my JRT's.
So here is my list :

Working : Great Dane, Bullmastiff, Newfoundland

Pastoral : Turkish Kangal, Norwegian Buhund, Estrela Mountain Dog

Terrier : Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Manchester Terrier, Border Terrier

Hound : Irish Wolfhound, Deerhound, Rhodesian Ridgeback

Toy : Miniature Pinscher, Chihuahua, Pomeranian

Utility : Akita, Japanese Akita Inu, Japanese Shiba Inu

Gundog : Irish Red & White Setter, English Setter, Irish Setter

But I do know that my next dog(s) will be from a rescue home & not from a breeder

No new favourites for me, there are many breeds I admire but the Gsd has everything I want in a dog.

Back in the 80’s my OH fell in love with Akita, having had 2 although I think they are beautiful dogs but i still prefer Gsd’s
