And that is the pup she went home with. Carrying him to the bus stop, travelling by bus, tube train, mainline train and then bus to her home, and he was as as good as gold travelling - and all the photos she sent [by snail mail] as he grew out of puppyhood proved that he was the right one for her. And yet I had planned on the other one being right but oh how I was wrong.

My mentor also told me never let a puppy go to someone who had just lost their Griffon, and although I had a waiting list for the five Z babies [Z's second and last litter] some were possibles in my mind. So when I had a telephone call from a man who said his wife was desolate because they had just lost their beloved Griffon I gave in and let them come to see the pups. Telling them that they were probably all accounted for although maybe, just maybe...

...so they came and she was crying and looked ghastly, and I showed her just one pup who I had not been 100% sure of her possible new owner. I would not let her take the pup home as she so desperately wanted, even though they offered me a lot of money for her.

Told them to go home, told her to calm down, and when she had, they could come again. They came back a couple of days later, and she had full make-up on and wearing a mink coat [well it was a long time ago] - and they went home with that little pup wrapped in her fur coat. And no, I did not take any extra money for her.

And I once took home the pup you're not supposed to choose!
I'd booked a border collie pup (very well known obedience lines on the sire's side, very well know sheepdog trials lines on the dam's side). The rest of the litter had already been reserved.
When I went in all the pups ran towards me except one - my heart sank - I knew that would be the one no one had chosen!
And she was. But I took her anyway, and that was Blodwen - possibly the best dog I've ever had.

My first dog was the one who held back and never came to say hello, felt so sorry for him so brought him home. Fantastic dog have never had such a strong bond with a dog since. He only tolerated my husband was his only fault !

Could you please provide evidence to back this up. If you are unable to do so the statement will be removed from your post.

Also could you please clarify the following:

How many litters a year? (Please provide evidence if it is more than 3 litters a year.)

I am responding to this post as we have received a complaint about it from a representative of The Cockapoo Club of GB. They believe this post may be from a disgruntled ex-Cockapoo Club of GB breeder/member.

Cheesus, I'm worn out if I have 2 litters in the same year:shock: There is no way they have time to give them the proper attention and upbringing with that many. Physically impossible without plenty of staff. I know how time consuming and expensive it all is:009:

Anyone care to enlighten me as to what's going on here? Reading through it looks like another thread where aggro from elsewhere is being hung out to dry here. Link to a thread from another dog forum where some of the contributors have been banned.

I've said this before but it's usually considered totally out of order to cut and paste CONTENT from one discussion forum to another. And isn't it a rule of Dogsey that you aren't allowed to post links to other 'dog related' websites?

    Hi Betty.

Thank you for responding to my posts.

I have to be honest and say that it does look as though you have signed up an account purely to spread damaging material about the third parties you have mentioned or referred to.

The information you have posted suggests that you are, or have been, more closely connected than you are letting on. I doubt someone merely looking for a Cockapoo breeder would be privy to the conversations, posts and lists that you have posted here.

It is against Dogsey rules to use the forum in this manner.

If you have concerns about a breeder you should contact the RSPCA, your local authority, or another charity or organisation who deals with unethical breeders - it is not something we can be part of on Dogsey, and why I am closing the thread at this point.
