I have read the thread again and I honestly cant see how its nasty?? Sorry if anyone feels that way
I guess it is easy to read something in b/w and put any inflection on it that you want but I can only see an owner who has had heartbreak looking for advice - and people giving some advice
Ok so we cant give advice on the particular cross other than look at the traits of both breeds and expect a random mixture of both

How are you defining "any great degree"?

Nah...Luke's post was discriminatory to naturally obnoxious posters like me. ;)

I wasn`t having a pop! I really hadn`t heard of this cross before. And I do think it sounds odd. Why can`t we say what we think? I wasn`t rude.
I like cavaliers - my Dad had one. Feisty little dogs, and very pretty. Good companions.

I'm just generally curious why someone wants a cross and not a pure. I also know for a fact that many people who cross breed will tell porkies about health, non-shedding, hypoallergenic, temperament etc etc so I just want to make sure people go into a puppy purchase with their eyes open so there are no surprises.

I have read all of this thread and I cannot hand on heart see where anyone is atacking the new member? in comparison to many threads on here that turn into battles, I feel the new member has been given some very informative advice, and it is entirely the new members choice as to wether to continue to go for this particular cross or not, thankfully the new poster has come on here asking for information, unfortunately all to often people join here AFTER they have gotten the dog and are looking for answers to problems they are having.

I have a Cockerpoo puppy (16 weeks old) who so far is loving, friendly, intelligent and quick to train but also manic at times to say the least. I'm used to big dogs (currently own a GSD as well and previously) and he was and still is quite a handful -but fun with it. His nicknames are woolly dumpling or dynamo with teeth and i've yet to find the off switch - he tends to crash and burn. Saw both parents mum was a cocker spaniel and laid back dad was a miniature poodle and manic so kinda knew what I was letting myself in for.
