I would have said American Bulldog x Staff. Maybe with some JRT in the staffy side. Heigh ho, goes to show what I know doesn't it!

Would have said staffy/beagle. So there is no solid proof dad was pit then? Did he see mum at all? Was she deff 100% staff?

With that colouring it's very beagle or other similar hound (fox, trail e.t.c.) I wouldn't have thought a staffy and pit would produce that exact same colour pattern on their own.

I have said to dave in the past to tell people am bull x staffie, just because of the stigma that goes with her breeding,
that I would say there is defo more than staffie and pitt in there so there is a good chance the father was a pitt x, the colour just dont fit right as you have all said x

He did see mum, but to be honest I havent questioned him in depth about it all, the rescue seemed to have the details which they gave to him, so I just accepted that,

whatever she is or is not, shes a lovely wee sole,

I think her head is a tad large and square to be a beagle cross but the colour screams beagle.

No offence to rescues but some really don't know their breeds, that said if no-one saw dad aside from some idiot who mated his bitch and then gave her to a rescue because he couldn't cope, I wouldn't bank on someone like that knowing a pit from a cross. She looks to have something 'bigger' in her doesn't she? Bigger and bulkier than pit. Like AB as some have said. That would make sense to her size an build, but still not sure an AB would produce that particular colouring?

Could imagine someone passing an AB/Beagle off as a pit to those who didn't know mind. The beagle would give it a smaller size and cleaner head. Mind it would have some ears on it if crossed with any hound wouldn't it?

Who knows? She's a lovely wee mystery anyway. x

thats a good point about the ears, had not thought of that, as it stands she has staffie ears,
I dont think anyone saw the father so he could be AB/X something.

I thought Staff x Beagle! Can't really see Pitt in her but perhaps that is a good thing - in case any of the neighbours got funny or anything like that:roll:

Surely any rescue saying there was pit bull in there can be prosecuted - it's illegal - why would they run that risk? I would just stick with the staffy X label ......

Ah the vid works then? when I click the link its not coming up with the vid... just the photobucket page :? so I had wondered,

tip/tap is easy,,,, its just a variation on giving a paw, but I started by useing my feet for it, so if I lift my left foot with the dog in front of me he lifts his right foot and touches my foot, same for the oposite one, then you can take the foot signal out and just give the command, its all done with the clicker, I do tend to trip myself up with commands when hes at heal facing the same direction as me:lol:

So I lift my foot and wait for Bryan to touch his paw to my foot?

does bryan give a paw? if so, you would hold your hand out as if asking for a paw, but lift your foot at the same time, moving your hand back so his foot touches your foot then click and treat,

its best to do this sitting down unless you have really good balance...pml.

Yup, I have no balance at all! He does Hi 5 rather than gives a paw but I can do that. I'm going to get Richard to video me and Bryan doing all his tricks and post it on Dogsey
