O dear Akna since when did you decide what threads I can comment on. I dont care what dogs people own but DO care about the dogs themselves.
Sandra speaks such tosh she wants to improve the CWD and gain Europes trust but if cant will breed with any old thing.
And Akna you dont do a bad job sticking your nose in yourself I have noticed and please enough of the "victim" card "people pick on my dogs" its reallt tiresome.

kc no your right i do not decide what you say but it seems apparant to me that you are on every forum "sticking your nose in"! i have every right to make comment on this thread as its about csv crosses (some people have forgotten this) and i have one! I have never pleaded to be a "victim" nobody on here really knows me and anyone who does would clearly know that description is very far removed from the truth. What people like you wallow is is hearing people explain themselves over and over again. You own an NI yet you battle with many an NI owner/breeder on every forum about the dogs, why? That to me does not suggest that you care about "THE DOGS" it suggests to me that actually enjoy trying to put people down, belittle them and that you have nothing else better to do than cause trouble (seems I am stating the obvious!). I am one of a few that can hold my head up high and be proud of not only MY DOGS but what we (as in my dogs and I) have achieved I would say that if more people followed suit then that might shut up most of the troublesome folk. But there are people out there whom have made mistakes, admitted, apologised and are trying to make good of a bad job and I think even that should command some respect!

I know this is OT but I understood fully what Mini was saying and there was no direct comparison of Shaun Ellis with Peter Sutcliffe. Mini's comment was exactly as she has stated and was making a point that you don't have to meet someone to form an opinion of, which I'm pretty certain the vast majority of people understood in it's correct context!

I really wish you would learn to read properly - on here and on websites - I have NEVER EVER said that I want to improve the CWD !!!!!! They are a superb dog in their own right.

When YOU come out with such tosh as that its no wonder that no one has any regard for anything you say.

I fully understood, what Minni was saying, but then I am not out to hav a dig at her ,unlike geezer it seems

Come on you guys, your arguing like married couples. :)

    Back on topic.

All breeds have their posative and negative aspects, as a person who's wanting a wolfdog, it's nice to here the posatives, but what about the negatives, it is just as important in my oppinion to be prepared. So what are the negatives of owning pure cwd and saarloos, and are these counteracted when they're crossed with the ni.

from my experiance of owning a saarloos cross and spending alot of time with pure wolfdogs,i would say that they are both fantastic dogs. the only thing i would say of the crosses is they arent as cautious as the pure. thats my opinion and what i have experianced with them.
saying that i will own a pure saarloos one day, as the dog being cautious wont affect us as we spend very little time with people anyway.
i have three dogs at the moment and when time dictates will have many more.
for me there has been nothing about the breed that isnt good, but thats because they suit me and my lifestyle.they are the best breed i have met.
but most definately arent for everyone.basically if you read through what other owners have said about the breed then you will get an idea of whether you suit them as an owner.
    they are amazing dogs.

Thanks. I'll agree that they're not for everyone, but that can be said for all breeds, I'd say that labs arn't a dog for everyone, nor are they the perfect first time dogowners choice as some would have you believe. I can't decide between a cwd or a swh, as both have qualities I like. E.g the czech isn't suposed to be as shy as the saarloos, but the saarloos is apparantly a bit more laid back than the czech.

Good luck with your saarloos when you get him/her.

CWD can be quite a handful, a powerful strong willed dog and very active- Ive seen experience long term owners knocked to the ground in a greeting several times. The Saarloos can be very wary of strangers, but even more self willed and suffer from severe separation anxiety and will do anything to escape when left alone. They are hard to train and can be very predatory. I wouldnt recommend them to anybody!

I've read that somewhere to. However, from what people have said on forums, and from what else I've read on sites, it doesn't seem to be the case.

I read that in a book too - must have been the same book - and that is very misleading.

btw - I know plenty of adults who have been bowled over by enthusiatic NI greetings too. The difference is, the Czechs think about it first!

How many CWDs and SWHs would you say you have met Sandra? And how many of them have been adults and pure bred dogs?
