Damn I want them all lol. What is their make up i.e. % of different breeds – if you don’t mind me asking? They are stunning looking pups, my favourite is the red with the black mask and the light fawn coloured pup.

So does this mean technically my Cleo (Bullmastiff x Dogue) would be classed as a Bandog? Confused!

I'm newso Hi all, but i thought a bandog had to have Pitbull sire and some mastiff dam to be one, but who am i to say, what lovely pics of puppies I love the white one...haven't got a dog at the moment but I am researching a few breeds

Cain, and his brother were bought as guard dogs sadly zack passed away 1month ago....Cain must be the most pampered guard dog in the world, especially by the girls in the office, they love his big mug....lovely big dog ...be even better why he hits the 2yr old mark !

hi i have a dogo canario x pit bull terrier type dog, would she be what you call a bandog?

As I have a little moor knowledge on the breed/mixes I will answer myself, any Bull Breed X Mastiff type dog qualifies as a Bandog, a Rotty X bull does not pass as one neither dose a American Pit Bull X Bull Mastiff these X's get called = American Pit Bull Mastiff
This is the dad to my pup not my dog the owner says he is a American Staff X Dogue De Bordeaux 3 yo

And this is the mum also not my dog the owner says she is a Perro De Presa Canario/American Staff X Perro De Presa Canario 3 1/2 yo

Oooer-i just stumbled on this 'breed' because i hadnt heard of it before.Now i know what to say when people ask what breed Vegas is!

i am thinking that a Bandog is a mix of bull breed mix with mastiff blood so the bull part being if i am right if i am not let me no what 1s please

Hi Bolty, Think you are asking what the bull part of the cross is, like many of the lurchers one sees, I don't think it matters, although purists will say there is only one way to produce a good lurcher, usually their way, the Bandogs are the result of crossbreeding between a mastiff and a bullbreed. In England yonks ago the name was applied to fighting dogs and it is now an expression used in the USA to describe a heavy dog used for fighting, or so I have been led to believe.

So in answer to your question it is any cross that gives this type of dog, some of the litter may not be as 'impressive' as others, as is the way with crosses. Also as with other breeds if you breed a crossbreed with anything else whatever you will get mongrels. If over a large number of years you continue breeding crossbreed to a simular looking crossbreed you may in time manage to breed true to type, do not think this is or has been attempted with the dogs that are called Bandogs.
