Don't worry about it. We're obviously just to simple minded and stupid to understand the complexity of leaving dogs in a field to procriate naturally, but making sure that to intended breeding dogs, are in the right place at the right time. But it is natural reproduction remember, or is it god's will. Maybe he sent one of the angels down to have a word with these dogs, to tell them that it was their time, and that it had to be a specific 2 individuals.

Thanks Tazer, I had read it and saw there was no mention on any specific tests. Hence my question. Another thing that has baffled me is saying they can test dogs over the internet. Does this mean they just look at the picture of the dog? How can you tell the conformation, health and temperement of the dog over the internet? Perhaps Shepalute might explain what is meant by this.

Shepalute is psychic remember, she can tell how many pups are going to be in a litter, before the mating has taken place.

On a serious note, I am also very interested in what health tests are done exactly, and how you can judge a dogs soundness in temperament or movement from a static photo over the internet.

Though I'm not holding my breath for a reasond explanation.

Is it the breeder who decides that the dogs are Champions?

Some of the dogs look like nice mixes butwhy have so many pictures of the dogs in matted tufty coats - when the website is a shwcase - not have pictures of the dogs looking nice?

I don't know if she decides who is a champion, but it seems likely. I'm still unable to find any other breeders.

Yes, some do look like very nice dogs.

I hope these cross-breed dogs are better tempered than... some others.

Just read on Shepalutes website that a litter has epileptic pups this is dated 2009. There are also letters from people with Shepalutes dogs stating their dogs have weak ears, pano, dodgy tummies and elbow dysplasia.

Sounds like another "type" I know of!

Wow. Just read Shepalute's reply and I'm amazed. I never really thought that anyone was that rude, ignorant and unbelievably naive. Does she really think that God decides that people should abuse their puppies. I don't care how long you have been breeding animals, you obviously shouldn't be allowed to OWN animals never mind play God with them. It's animal abuse, pure and simple. If a bitch decides she is ready to mate whilst she is a puppy, that's ok? What a load of tosh.

Have to agree. Its just exploitation. Anyone who thinks a bitch at 9 months is physically and or mentally mature enough to be bred from shouldn't be allowed to breed. Especially large breeds most of whoom arn't fully mature until 2 years or even older in some cases.

Disgusting. For once, I don't care if the person in question finds anything I've said offensive, or what she thinks of me for that matter.

Unfortunately there will allways be people like that. Just like there will allways be people who think it is acceptable to hit/kick their dog, when it hasn't done what they've told it to.


However, if anyone else has found anything I've said to be out of order/offensive then I do appologise.

I don't have a problem with the dogs, as a breed or type. I just have a problem with that person's ethics, or lack there of.

I just don't find it acceptable to breed from a 8/9 month bitch, just because you can, nor do I agree with culling pups at birth, because they might be having some difficulty breathing, and need some assistants. They maybe fluid blocking its airways, preventing it from breathing proply. But that doesn't matter, if it is struggling to breathe/isn't breathing strait away, kill it, if it isn't as strong as the others kill it, if it isn't growing a fast as its siblings, guess what, kill it, do you see my point. No one in this thread is having a go at the dogs, me and others are just shocked or disgusted that practices like that still go on.
