I don't have transport either but the breeder I wanted a puppy from was the other side of Cambridge and I'm in Derby. Initially I visited her on the train, taking almost 4 hours each way and when the puppy was ready I arranged for a lift from my brother. I also was prepared to pay for a local pet taxi service to take me to collect the puppy if my brother was working, this would have cost £90. I would have happily payed it though.

It would be a shame to restrict your choice of breeders due to transport difficulties. There are several well respected BC breeders north of the border.

If you're contacting several breeders do try and keep them informed if and when you eventually decide on a pup. They are only human and like to be kept abreast of things.
