sorry to hear about Pat, as you say he was a happy soul and at least he knew love and kindness with you.

That's so sad. At least it was quick and it sounds like he had a good life while he was with you.

Thank you for your commiserations, I have passed them on to the family.

He was loved. He loved every one of us, too. Even Nancy and Millie, the Cavalier. He was submissive and subservient with each member of the family (even family friends), and (unfortunately) ferociously protective with those who even appeared to threaten us, the dogs, or the garden territory.

We loved him dearly, as you dog lovers can appreciate. We're all glad we could bring him from a world of suffering, cold nights, and hungry days, and turn him from the tetchy, scared animal he once was into the soppy, cuddly, soft-hearted toddler he became.

Everyone here has been a great help. You don't know how much we valued you when we were in need, so thank you, very very much.

So sorry to hear about Pat. Run free at the bridge big guy, where it never mattered what breed you were.
