Breedia Dog Forum
Another Dalmatian for me probably, but not for a good few years yet! They suit me well, they are beautiful and are hilarious
Someone once asked if my mums Beardie x was a Hancock's dog. She looked just like a greyhound when she was wet, but was hairy like a Beardie.
I've been casually looking at Working Type Springers and Cockers and am noticing they don't seem to be health tested. We have a working type...
How tall is he? Could have Spaniel in him? (either Springer or Cocker?)
Didn't realise the thread was that old!
My first thought was Chinese Crested.
Dalmatian Welfare/North of England Dalmatian Welfare might be able to help if she thinks she can give a Dal a home :-)
Here's my opinion on Dals :-) Dalmatians do not hunt and roam like gundog breeds tend to, they are not 'biddable' though and many are given up...
I used to have a walking companion with a young Ridgeback bitch. I found her to be more 'biddable' and require slightly less stimulation and exercise...
Rolosmum, do your two sniff in the same sort of areas and interact when out? Or do they just seem to run around in opposite directions?
Harry my mums working type Springer Spaniel doesn't really play or interact with other dogs on walks, he just charges around in the bushes mostly....
What about a labrador?
I'd say Lab x possibly with a HPR type (GSP, Vizsla or similar)
