It's been several weeks since we increased our rat family and moved them into the big cage. I'll have to post pictures. Everyone is thriving and getting along beautifully! And Jupiter the oldest has had a big turnaround in her health. I had gotten the "extra" baby because it didn't seem like Jupiter was long for this world. But I feel guilty now. I think it was just that the first cage was far too small for exercise. She had grown almost too fat to move. Now with the little ones racing around plus a wheel to run in she's starting to get way more active. The first thing the babies taught her was how to climb the bars to get to the shelves of the cage. With all this healthy exercise she's slimmed down. Now she can run and move so much easier. She even climbs the bars with the little ones, hilarious to watch.
