A pygmy goat of course. This is what the notice in Pets at home said. Be the envy of your friend friend's by buying your friend a pygmy goat for Christmas, they only grew to the size of a small dog can live in the home are cute & lovable ring 01332 ×××××× for more details. I went & fetched the Pets at home manager, he removed the notice & put new one up which simply said pygmy goats for sale & put the telephone number on new notice. I really hate it when people sell animals as Christmas presents, they are not toys they are a living creature, that needs a lot of looking after plus the people who buy animals as presents, don't have to fork out for all the additional costs, like food vet fees toys bedding, worming & fleaing treatments, all they see is the £30 -£300 price tag not the over all cost of looking after a animal.
Just what I always wanted. NOT. A pygmy goat. Or... Just what I always wanted. NOT. A pygmy pig - pot-bellied or otherwise. I do not even want a goldfish.
It seems to be the latest crazy at moment Malka, all because some jumped up female celebrity has a pygmy goat & now every farmer & breeders are using that female celebrity to sell their goats. Baring in mind this person as far to many pets as it is including micro pigs.
Oh I do - all the above, and more. But I know it's not practical for me to have any of them, so I don't. I'm fantasizing about a kitten at the moment.
I've never been interested in having a goldfish or any kind of fish for that matter. Birds in the house are a no-no too 'cos I always freak out when they fly around a room. Chickens I see no point in keeping because I hate eating eggs! Rabbits I used to keep but could never bear to kill them 'cos they're so cuddly. Pigs and cows ... well I only have to walk down the road to see as many as I like. Now, a goat I'd love to have ... BUT.... when you want to take it on holiday with you it's very difficult to find a pet friendly hotel that will let them sleep in the room with you ... SO .... I'll stick to me dogs!
Ah, I might have guessed. I just hope she employs genuine animal lovers to take care of all her pets.
Have small confession to make I got 2 more pets joining me after Christmas they are called Santa & Elf xxxxx
No not Staffies ratties they coming live with me towards the end December beginning of January x Santa is a teenager at moment & when she's a junior she will come live with me Elf is also a teenager & he too will come live with me when he's a junior
Some years ago, my daughter had a rat - a brown and white boy called Robin. She kept him on a window ledge until he ate a strip, about 30 inches by one inch, out of the floor length curtains. Rattus Naughticus!
I had 4 rats before the 2 boys were called E.T & Milo & the 2 girls were called Xena & Gabby, we had the boys neutered so we could put all 4 together but Xena started attacking the boys so we at to put them in different tank x
We used to have a British Alpine goat - Shandy. She came to us from someone who had competed in Milking Trials with her. This (strange) form of competition involves camping at shows with your goat, and recording the milk production over a full 24 hour period. Shandy just loved to travel, she would 'be clean' before she jumped into the van, and she loved a walk with the dogs, (Golden Retrievers in those days). A special treat was a trip to town - Stockport - she jostled to look out of the window, especially at night when she was attracted by all the bright lights. Happy Days.
I think I will stick to just Pereg. [I do not count the house geckos, the large outside lizards or the bdooly meecicles as pets]
Beautiful. I really miss having rats. Our last rat Gonzo was free range most of the time - we used to leave his door open for him to come and go as he pleased - and Witty the little terrier used to squeeze into the cage, curl up and fall asleep.
