Out walking today i watched a little bc walk by with a stick in its mouth , it dropped it ran away some turned, lay down and started to circle it a few times going in to a stalk as it got closer it picked it up , It then ran on from its owner and as i looked back it was doing the same thing again .lol
Thats a typical collie IMO, Kate's Flint does the same - it's a tactic they use to try and get you to throw the stick.. quite cute for a while then rather annoying
my lurcher used to do that to stones! that and your feet if u scuffed them at all whilst walking (he was half bc)
Mace has a thing with sticks He doesnt understand that I dont want him playing with sticks and sulks when told to leave it!
dave the dog has the same habit and like devil dogz says goes in the huff when the stick is launched elsewhere ... usually the burn! cos he wont get his feet wet lol
yup my friends have 4 collies and walks are fun with all 4 of them dropping sticks and balls, crouching and trying to telepathically make them throw themselves, then as you walk on snatching them up and racing on to drop them infront of you While my two fools run about crazy just not understanding the daft collie game
I have to say one or two of mine have this with thier ball....yes it is funny to see, I love the way they lie so low.
