Tonight: ITV investigation exposes shocking conditions at Welsh dog farm

    Tonight at 7.30pm
    http://www.itv.com/news/2014-07-30/...ng-conditions-exposed-at-unlicensed-dog-farm/

Please contact your MP and Councils to make your feelings clear. The Animal Welfare Act completely fails these dogs yet they are being allowed to continue breeding .The RS’are of no help whatsoever, claiming the councils themselves should deal with any problems!

So who is responsible? And why are these horrific places not being shut down

A friend of mine works in the part of environmental health that deals with kennels and breeders and shes just sick of it all. Shes really strict and pulls no punches but gets very little support and her hand are tied half the time. Its so fustrating

The pictures alone are enough - sickening - I really don't think I can stand seeing any more sad doggy eyes.

I cannot watch this as I cannot get ITV. I would complain about it all but as I do not live in the UK I cannot do anything, much as I would want to.

    I hate this cruelty.

What gets my back up is the fact all the ‘Major Charities’ and the Kennel Club, (bloody Hypocrites’ ) bombarded the Government to get MC enforced, (which will make no difference) yet choose to ignore how these poor dogs are being bred/kept,if there is enough outcry about a thing politicians will take notice. Undercover filming has been done before and been on national TV, people watch are shocked and then its forgotten about again.
    Very Sad .

    Yep that's it Malka.

So many scummy puppy farmers around - I hope Wales becomes the first country to ban commercial breeders!

That came through on one of my alerts, and I wondered whether to post it in the News Section on Dogsey, but thought better of it.

Then I realised it must be about the programme Vee mentioned so am glad I did not post it.

I don't know whether or not the policy has been revised, but at one time Welsh farmers were being given grants to 'diversify' into breeding dogs.

The amount of importing was scary; one would think/hope that with the chance of Rabies being brought in ,the GOV, will do something and quick. Disappointed it didn’t point out that this is the second time they have had to raise issues with this owner and the second time he has broken the laws of the animal welfare act. On their TV programme dog rescuers the RS remove dogs for less even when they are healthy,( just that they look a certain type ) just cant get my head around how they can let these ……s OFF .
