Once I learned about raw feeding from Joanne [Tarimoor, for whom I will always be grateful] for Pereg, she thrived on it. True it did not do much for her epilepsy but how do I know it did not. Little Tikva, who is about a fifth of Pereg's size, has exactly the same food, just one fifth less! The only problem is where they are used to send me 5 kilos - or maybe even more - they do not seem to understand that when I say 2 kilos I mean 2 kilos. Not 5 or not, shock horror, even 10 kilos. Tikki is ickle and she is really ickle and skinny and ickle. I have learned to order stuff, when needed, on a Wednesday morning for delivery on a Thursday evening, as they just deliver what they have left, most poultry having been sold by late Thursday for Shabbat. But they do not seem to understand that when I ask for 2 kilos I only want 2 kilos. SIGH
I think I am going doolally. When I said Tikki has the same food as Pereg, I meant the same food but a fifth of the amount, not a fifth less! Anyhow, as I had a bit [not much] of spare freezer space, I ordered 2 kilos of chicken wings and 2 kilos of chicken necks, knowing they would have been delivered freshly slaughtered yesterday morning, and delivered to me when Mikhaël had closed up the stall, and dropped off on his way home. Very useful having neighbours up the road like that! So I am not arguing but what would I have done with any more? His idea of 2 kilos is what is left over on Thursday evening! Anyhow, because it is strictly Kasher, I have chucked a load in a large crockpot for me - IT, of course, has hers raw.
