    Staffie owners, help please

Would anyone mind me using a photo/photos of their Staffie to produce some artwork for a Staffie related leaflet someone on another forum I use is making? Quality doesn't have to be that great but this sort of pose would work well

Photo won't be distributed, just need it to get proportions etc right for the linework. Thanks

I'm not writing the leaflet, have just offered to do artwork for the cover. To quote the author "I put together a leaflet aimed at helping people become more informed about why it may not be a good idea to breed from your staffie"
The photo I linked was just from Google so I don't know the photographer so it may be verging on copyright laws to use it, and it's not very polite - I'd rather ask permission from someone happy for me to use their photo :)

But you are not publishing it just using it the get the line work right.
Or is the person doing the leaflet going to use the photo.

I would not want one of mine going on a leaflet that contained a load of rubbish. Not saying the leaflet will be a load of rubbish but I don't know who it is or what the content is.

    Do you understand

They're not going to use the photo. They just want an outline drawing or silhouette of a Staffie and I wanted to base my artwork off of a photo I've gained with the photographer's permission rather than use a random photo - even if it's technically legal to base artwork off it, I think it's more polite to ask. If you don't want your photo involved then simply don't volunteer :)
